La Villa Bella su Hacienda is a Mediterranean style villa on the Pacific coast - referred to as Mexico’s Gold Coast, discovered but not yet developed.

La Villa Bella is uniquely located on a secluded peninsula, away from large commercial resorts and surrounded by a tropical Mexican ambiance of flowers, vegetation and wavering palm trees. This sea-side villa is ideal for honeymoons, romantic getaways, anniversary celebrations, company retreats, family events – like quinceanera and small groups up to eight guests.

La Villa Bella is a destination resort with many on-site activities - with longer stay options for those with a desire to experience the rich environment of authentic Mexican life that surrounds the community. Guests will appreciate the privacy of the court yard with a pool, jacuzzi and chase loungers while relaxing under towering palms, lush vegetation and spectacular flowering gardens.

Sun lovers will enjoy the sea side pool with spectacular views of the ocean coast, beach life, fishermen and amazing sun sets. Periodic ocean visitors will include migrating whales, occasional distant tour boats and the forever soothing sound of waves crashing on the rocky peninsula perimeter. Peninsula viewing locations on the perimeter are a great place to vent the mind, refresh the soul and recharge the physical. Some guests combine this location with a personal massage and - spa hair and nail services.

The food service will tantalize your palate with a delectable menu of local cuisine and proven Mexican favorites - with ingredients purchased daily. Mexican pastries are legendary and prepared daily with an assortment of pastries, cakes, pies and other desert favorites. Meals are served family style with an assortment of fresh tropical drinks, dairy products and filtered water. Alcoholic beverages are not included in the meal plan but available on request.

Sea food lovers will appreciate a local delicacy: Pescado Sarandiado - fresh fish cooked over an open fire with mangrove wood creating a unique smokey aroma and taste. Other sea food options are available: clams, lobster and fish varieties with a prior request and pre-payment for the fishermen.

Guests may enjoy shopping trips to local villages where street vendors display their wares in open markets, religious holiday fiestas, rodeos and local sport events. Other adventures may include kayaking, surfing, jogging the ocean front, boat excursions, deep sea fishing and whale observations when active.

Great vacation!

Overall amazing vacation! The food was great every night. Enjoyed the pool, hot tub and ocean. The no seems were bothersome but bug spray helped.

Beautiful Villa, these instructions would help a lot when when new customers are trying to find the villa. "When you arrive at Platinos, continue past the "Platinos" sign on your left. From there, head past the sign and you will come to a hill with lots of rocks in the road. Continue up the hill roughly 1 kilometer and until you reach the gate to the villa.

Rejuvenation!!

We needed a quick getaway and this location and home offered the perfect amount of relaxation and remote beauty. We used their service for the private chef and were very satisfied with the food and the warm greetings and energy of the entire staff. Beautiful gardens, peaceful and tranquil afternoons by the pool, and adventures exploring the nearby beaches!

What a fantastic week. The villa is even better than the pictures, and the entire property is absolutely stunning. Amazing Heavenly Gem!

Me and my family stayed at the villa for 2 nights only, the second we arrived we instantly regretted not booking the whole week in this amazing place! The whole property is like a fantasy dream, a piece of paradise! The most amazing sunsets by the community pool.Host and all the personnel are really friendly. All you need to know is that it’s like a 5-star stay without the 5-star nonsense. Jossie’s villa had the most stunning grounds compared to all the stunning grounds, so if you can imagine paradise, then this is it. The food was fantastic, the people were fantastic, and the relaxing was fantastic, and the jacuzzi… I’ll stop here. It’s tops.

This home is perfect for a family or group getaway. Located in a small, private, gated community of custom built vacation villas, this house has four en suite bedrooms, large kitchen, laundry, large comfy sitting room, and ample dining room. Two housekeeper/cooks are also available for hire to make the stay completely care-free. The house includes its own pool and jacuzzi, while the small gated community also offers it own larger pool for use by residents. The kids have their own en suite bungalow with loft. The other bedrooms are equally private and secluded. The house includes balconies, verandas, patios, lush tropical landscaping. Breathtaking views all around; secluded, lightly occupied beaches for swimming/surfing. The perfect place to escape crowds and experience tropical paradise. Do not hesitate to reserve and visit!

Paradise Found!

Wow! We were blown away by this beautiful place. The food was incredible, the owner was easy to communicate with and the home was spacious and more than we could have hoped for. The pictures don’t do it justice. The only thing I would say is I was surprised in getting there. It felt like we came to a dead end in a very small village and freaked out for a second. One of the residents told us to continue up a rocky dirt road for a while which didn’t feel right and we were all a little nervous. But we ended up at the top of the hill and the gate was there & paradise was found. Just a heads up though for any others that might be surprised or concerned when driving there. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Perfect Pacific vacation stay

La Villa Bella is an exceptional property and Jossie is a marvelous host who promptly responded to my queries. Yes, the gated community and area surrounding La Punta El Custidio is safe. It is also remarkably beautiful..the landscaping, the plantings, the meticulous care of the grounds...like living in a botanical garden. We were 3 generations, and the lovely villa provided plenty of space, indoors and outdoors. There are four bedroom suites, as well as a 1/2 bath off the living area. The villa is extremely well stocked with supplies, including bottled water. Los Plantanitos is rural, this is a place to rest and relax, or perhaps swim/wade (depending on the tide) to the pristine Playa Las Tortugas. There are beach restaurants serving fresh grilled fish, but no real grocery store. We were so glad to have Chelo and her assistant Ava greet us in the morning by preparing fresh-squeezed orange juice and a hot breakfast. They then prepared lunch and dinner for us to heat up . Fresh fruits, fresh fish, fresh tortillas! This is an ~ 2 hour drive from PVR airport. Pay attention to the speed limit!! it seems low compared to what we are used to in the US. Also, familiarize yourself with left turns, completely different in Mexico!! A great stay. Gracias!

Absolutely wonderful

Beautiful 4 bedroom house built around a central courtyard with a private pool and hot tub. We had my mother and father in law and our 5 children (age 6-20) there and were very comfortable. This is a gated community 2 hours north of Puerto Vallarta near a small fishing/beach village called Platanitos. There are about 12 houses on a peninsula. There is a larger pool that serves the development of 12 houses. There is a small beautiful beach a 1-2 minute walk from the beach which is very uncrowded. It is next to a river/estuary with a sandbar surfbreak at the mouth and a 14 km beach a 20 yard swim or paddle across the river. THis is a quiet place. No nightlife. We had a cook (Chello) who did a great job cooking and cleaning the house. The owner (Jossie Gill who lives in Denver) was easy to work with and responsive. The weather was perfect as was the weather. NO issues with the house. Internet is not great but I almost consider that a plus. The cost was very reasonable during the week between Christmas and New Years. We would definately stay here again and would recomend it without reservation.

We took 3 sixteen yo's. They each had their own room and bathroom. The gated property is very safe for them. We all surfed or boogie boarded morning and afternoon. Kids haven't had a lot of practice previously and the waves were perfect for them. Such a treat to have Chelo do all our cooking and cleaning. I think it is important to do the meal plan, as nothing suitable close by. Friend families were staying in other villas in the same compound while we were there, so it worked out beautifully. The communal pool was lovely and quiet, and plenty of shade where needed, and lots of great views from there of the surfers below. The communication with Jossie, the owner, was always excellent, and there were many messages between us that were answered promptly. Jossie went over and above to help us out and organized a comfortable shuttle for us in both directions. Chelo was so sweet and when one of the boys asked her if she knew about Chicken Tinga, she went ahead and surprised us with it the next day. Food is fabulous and lots of variety and something for everyone. The Villa is lovely and all the bedrooms so comfortable and air conditioned and there are ceiling fans everywhere. We all Had good books and played cards on the evenings. Thankyou for a fabulous stay!

Adorable house, awesome staff

Such a cute house with the most wonderful staff. Really. Everything we asked for- daily fresh mango, pina coladas without alcohol- they made it all happen. Be sure your group wants to enjoy real, authentic Mexican food. It was delicious. But if you have little ones who are not adventurous, it's not lucky charms and chicken nuggets. It's amazing, real mexican cuisine. We do wish we would have known in advance how bad the insects are there. Staff quickly on day two got us 3 bottles of bug repellent, but we nonetheless were all bitten often. Also, we found the photos to be a little deceiving. The turtle sanctuary beach was much too dangerous to cross- we never saw a turtle. We had to walk 20 mins to Playa Platanitos if we wanted to swim in the ocean safely as the local beach was dangerous (our children are 8,11,14 yrs old, moderate not expert swimmers in strong, dangerous current). One day we paid a taxi to take us to San Blas an hour away to swim in the ocean. On that note, transportation there was over priced compared to every other taxi we've ever taken in Mexico. Also, if you are an adult group that wants to spend time in a warm hot tub in the evening, please ask staff to teach you how to warm the hot tub on day one. Otherwise, you have to walk a block to the office every evening to beg someone to help with this. We felt that the staff bent over backwards for our family and I very much wanted to bring all 3 of them back home with me :) They were so very kind and helpful.

Amazing stay in a spectacular location

La Villa Bella is a true gem. The property itself is very special, clearly designed and maintained with a great deal of care. There are so many beautiful little touches. The photos can't do it justice. Everything was very clean and in good working order. The small gated community in which the home is located is also beautiful, with winding paths through tropical gardens, a great shared pool (in addition to the private pool and hot tub at La Villa Bella), and spectacular views up and down the coast. The location is gorgeous. It's a relatively undeveloped part of Mexico from a foreign tourist perspective. Playa Platanitos (about a 10 minute walk) is popular with local weekenders and is a fun spot to soak up Mexican beach culture. Playa Las Tortugas to the south is immense, sparsely used, and one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. You have to swim across the estuary to get to it, but it was easily manageable even for our 3yo (with a life jacket). There is a turtle sanctuary there, and we were able to see them releasing baby turtles at sunset (for a fee). The only negative was the bugs, which were mostly no-see-ums. They weren't as annoying as mosquitoes but we did get lots of bites. The location is relatively remote, so either come with all the food you'll need or get the meal plan. We opted for the latter. Chelo and Eva did the cooking and were lovely to interact with. The food was a highlight. They also cleaned the home daily, which was a great added bonus.

Magnifique maison

Nous y avons séjourné 7 nuits. Maison magnifique. Emplacement exceptionnel avec une vue spectaculaire sur le pacifique, des jardins luxuriants. La maison est tres confortable. Lits parfaits, climatisation parfaite et cuisine tres bien equipée. La piscine était tres propre et agréable Tout le personnel etait fort accueillant. Nous avons pris le services avec repas et wow, nous avons mangé comme des rois Je recommande d’avoir une voiture. L’endroit est un peu isolé. Pour cette raison, le service du chef était fort utile Je recommande fortement

The Most Relaxing Villa in Platanitos

This was to be a relaxing vacation for us. Our daughter found this gem of a Vrbo called La Villa Bella…su Hacienda. Boy what a property. It is decorated beautifully. No matter where you look, is a visual delight. We absolutely loved everything about the home. To have our own private pool and jacuzzi was wonderful. All bedrooms were fantastic and had their own split systems for air and heat. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need. The girls wanted to cook, so that is what we did. The owner/manager Jossie always responded very quickly to any question or request we had. The staff of Chelo our housekeeper, Nilo and Vicente who took care of the pool and maintenance were all so friendly and provided excellent customer service. It made our 7 day stay so special. La Villa Bella…su Hacienda is in a gated community along the ocean with many beautiful unique homes. The community pool overlooks the ocean and there are many areas just to sit and take in that ocean and of course the most beautiful sunsets. The village at the beach had amazing restaurants with food that was amazing. All in all, this was the most relaxing vacation we have ever had. We definitely will be back next year to enjoy this gem of a home in paradise.

Best vacation ever!

We returned home on Saturday from La Villa Bella 😔😔, I didnt want to leave! Its hard to write a review when you have so many great things to say and not sure how to express how grateful and happy we are but I will start by saying that this house, the staff and the location exceeded our expectations. The house is beautiful, big and SUPER clean. The pool is amazing, the gardens, the views, everything! But the best part, Chelo, Jazmìn, Nilo, they treated us like part of their family!! Thank you for everything guys That kind of care and attention you wont find in ANY resort. Also a shout out to Luis, Don Lupe, Yesenia and everbody who made sure we had a great time. Also a big thank you to Jossie who was always in contact to make sure we were ok and having a good time. Thank you again Nilo for the wonderful time my family and myself had visiting the beach and different places and for opening your house to us ❤️❤️ my kids will never forget the warmth and welcoming they felt from you and your family. My kids enjoyed touching the frogs, the geckos, the lizzards and eveb a crab! That visited the grounds We loved the food, that is prepared with a heart, thank you for the tunas (prickly pears) that you heard me saying I was craving! The fresh coconuts that Luis got for us, the mangos, the real and fresh orange juice every morning (being Mexican living in Canada, I sure appreciate the delicious real oj) Having a conversation to people in our own language was amazing! It made me forget how homesick I can get sometimes Thank you again Chelo and Jazmìn for cooking special things for my picky daughter 😁 I cant wait to go back although next time will be in Winter as my husband couldnt deal with the heat 🤣🤣 Unfortunately, and this has NOTHING to do with Villa Bella, the tide was to high to cross to playa tortugas but Nilo to the rescue again! Not sure what else I can say to convince you to visit La Villa Bella, im sure you will fall in love like we did. If you like night clubs and party, perhaps Punta el Custodio is not for you but if you are looking to rest, recharge and enjoy your family dont wait and book!!! Thank you Jossie ❤️

Beautiful, well-appointed home in a gorgeous, natural and secluded location. Fabulous meals prepared by Chello, and highly responsive and kind interactions with the owner Jossie. Paradise on the bluff

Villa Bella is one of about 15 villas perched up on a large bluff surrounded by ocean waters. one side of the bluff you will find stairs leading straight into the ocean water. you can cross the water inlet (usually with the low tide the water goes unto your waist height) to the playa de tortuga. This is where you can let the sea turtles out to the ocean from the turtle preserve. On the other side of the bluff is about a 10-15 minute walk to a very quite sleepy little beach town called Plantanitos. A few restaurants and a mini mart. We were the only visitors on the beach for a few days but def gets busier on the weekends. Chilo and her assistant helped cook all meals everyday. The meal plan was an additional cost but incredible value for what they do. Homemade from scratch every meal every day. The house was perfect. An architectural masterpiece. The house has a private pool and hot tub (you will need to ask the maintenance guys to turn the heat on for hot tub). Then the property also has a larger community pool right under a big beautiful tree at the tip of the bluff. This villa is not facing the ocean but in the center of the other villa's that line the beach. It is nice as it is quieter and you still have a small view of the ocean from the master and on the second floor. This was truly a special place and I plan on taking my family annually!

This house is beautiful! Read all reviews, regarding bugs. Definitely take bug spray! The house is located in platanitos, need a car to get around. The service from communication with he owner, Maintenace and housekeeper is Excellent. We bought groceries in Vallarta and cooked for ourselves. There is restaurants 15 min walk to the beach where you will find restaurants and a mini store. Make sure you take Advil, medicine needed. When, we say there is nothing there . There really isn't anything there. We truly enjoyed the house.
