Port suite @ The Homestead Oceanfront

The Port Suite is one of the few choices in the area that's both waterfront and has A/C. It offers two bedrooms with double beds and ensuite bathrooms as well as a spacious living room. There's also a mini-fridge, coffeemaker, microwave, and an eating/work area. The windows offer a gorgeous, panoramic view of Trinity Bay and the boats coming and going from the harbour. The Homestead is a great location for your next vacation. With so much to see locally and via day trips to surrounding attractions, it's the perfect home base. Our suites range from 600 to over 1,000 square feet, offering much more room than typical hotels or B&Bs so you'll have plenty of space to stretch out and relax.

We're the best option for comfortable lodging in the relaxing, scenic Norman's Cove – Long Cove area. Ideally situated just one hour's drive from St. John's, Long Cove offers close proximity to some of the best hiking in Newfoundland, with three trailheads within walking distance of our property, including the acclaimed Seaview Trail. Chance Cove and Dildo are just a short drive or boat trip away. Kayakers, sailors, cyclists, fishers, nature photographers, and outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds love our location.

While other properties may offer no view or an ocean view from a distance, The Homestead is oceanfront, with a panoramic view of Long Harbour, Trinity Bay, Chapel Head, and the beach we're next to visible from most rooms. In the right season, you can spot icebergs, whales, seals, eagles and many types of seabirds, as well as capelin rolling. Walk down to the beach directly below our property to see it up close, breathe in the salty air, or look for seashells.
