This is the 4th house we have rented for a get-away with our children and grandchildren. All 11 of us agreed this was our favorite property! It had so many amenities and the setting was perfect, out in the country but close enough to a cute town with great restaurants. It is ideal for families with children or a group of adults. My grandchildren made me promise that we could come back to this house again.

Perfect Place for a Retreat!

We had a wonderful time at our staff retreat at the White Dog Lodge. This place has everything you need and then some. The pool and hot tub were wonderful and the accommodations were awesome as always! See you next year!

White Dog Lodge was the perfect property for our group of 12. It had it all! Plenty is space for everyone to sleep comfortably. The grill was great for preparing some large meals and the kitchen was very well stocked with needed utensils. The 2 game rooms were awesome and the whole property was very clean. Highly recommend for a larger family or friend group if you want some privacy but relatively close to shopping and of course many distilleries !

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! The pictures of this property do not do it justice. I watched the sunrise on the front porch every morning and the sunset on the back porch. It is beautiful and peaceful all the way around. Our group made full use of the pool, hot tub, game room and bourbon & cigar room. The kitchen is well appointed with plenty of plates, bowls, and especially coffee cups & glasses that are needed. I had no trouble making dinner every night for our large group. My husband also raved about the quality and cleanliness of the grill. The bedrooms and bathrooms are divided nicely on 3 floors with every floor having its own sitting room/gathering space. The perfect amount of togetherness and privacy. Everything was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The host was very responsive with friendly, professional and informative communication. In summary, this property is naturally beautiful with plenty of things to do on site and access to Bardstown & bourbon distilleries. I highly recommend it and my family will be back!

Amazing family reunion weekend

Our family enjoyed a wonderful long weekend at White Dog. The pool l, hot tub, and game room were a huge hit for both kids and adults alike, and we enjoyed s’mores one evening over the property’s large fire pit. Beds were comfy and weather was perfect (we were there in late June). The host, Melissa, was alsobvery responsive. We are already talking about coming to stay again soon!

We had a group of 4 couples who stayed at this beautiful home. Everything was spot on as advertised. The surroundings were awesome, what a beautiful outdoor setting. The game room was an added bonus to enjoy fun games with the group. We vacation together once a year at a different place each year. This is one we would definitely return to.

Perfect for our family vacation!

White Dog Lodge was incredible! It was the perfect place for our family of 10 ranging in age from 82 to 15. Plenty of comfortable bedrooms and more than enough bathrooms. We were very impressed with the amount of household items provided! We never had to worry about toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap & dishwasher pods, coffee, etc. It's the little details that make a big difference! We had one slight issue that was resolved immediately. We had a great time hanging out in the game room and spending time together at the pool and hot tub. We didn't really use the bourbon & cigar room, but it was a very cool addition. Grocery shopping was just a 15 minute drive and dining out in Bardstown was maybe 20, which was very convenient! We chose White Dog Lodge because it was central to our family that was coming from Ohio, Illinois, & Tennessee, but we would choose it all over again because of our wonderful experience!

Staff Retreat 2025 is in the books at your wonderful property and we are ready to schedule next year's retreat with you! You always provide everything we need and we love the beautiful views and sunsets! There are so many things to do with the pool and hot tub and game room! So fun! Peaceful Oasis

Our host communication was incredible. The house was even better than the pictures and description. Lots of space and plenty of places to congregate. We travel to Kentucky one time per year for work purposes, and will make this our new regular place to stay. The property was absolutely beautiful!

Bourbon Trail

The property and house were amazing! I visited to use as a getaway and to experience the bourbon trail. My kids would have loved the game room if this wasn’t an adult adventure, but the adults loved it also. The communication with the owner and property team were the best I’ve ever experienced.

Wow!

White Dog Lodge was perfect for our group of old friends visiting the Bourbon Trail. The location was quiet and beautiful, the lodge was spotless and comfortable , the pool was crystal clear, and the cigar lounge and game room far exceeded our expectations. Melissa was friendly, professional, very accessible and quickly dealt with the one small issue we had. Excellent host! We have stayed in many, many rental properties and White Dog Lodge is among the very best!

Awesome place!!!

From the beautiful scenery to the gorgeous log cabin that easily hosted 5 couples!! After several distillery tours each day, it was nice to come back to the property and gather around the fire pit or we spent many nights out in the game room with guys enjoying watching sports on the many tvs while we all played games! Extra perk - all the fall leaves changing color were gorgeous! A wonderful experience!!

A Perfect home in the beautiful countryside of Kentucky

This home was the perfect place for our family fun week ! Super easy check in and the house was spotless. There were 12 of us and we had plenty of room for everyone. The home has everything you will need for a fantastic stay. Fully equipped kitchen, linens , shampoo…etc. The pool was amazing and we were in it every day!! The poker and game room were awesome and the kids loved it ! So close to Bardstown for lunch or dinner if you want to go out for a night. We loved every thing about White Dog Lodge and can’t wait to come back ! Thank you ,Melissa for a memorable stay !

Fantastic Family Vacation

Celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary with our three children, their spouses and four grandchildren was absolutely amazing at this property. Plenty of space for everyone to relax and spread out. Days were spent in the pool and nights in the game room. We cooked/grilled every night. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. Thank you Melissa for the great service! UK Graduation/Bourbon Tour Trip

This property is stunning, quiet, well-kept and offers a wonderful gathering place to spend time with family and friends. The house is gorgeous and well-stocked with all the essentials for a relaxing get away. The game room was loved by all and definitely a plus for the colder months when outside activities are minimal. The property is a great location to visit distilleries in the area and it's close to Bardstown, which is a must see at Christmas time. The check-in/check-out process was easy and the hosts were great to work with. We highly recommend this property! Would definitely return here.

Great home for our large family!

The property was extremely clean and well cared for. We could tell that large efforts were made to ensure our comfort during our stay. I was particularly impressed that everything in the game room was in working order (often at other places we have rented the games are not). We appreciated the fact that the rental included spices in the kitchen, laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, and ample soap/shampoo in the bathrooms. I was also impressed that not only the house but also the additional buildings head great wifi coverage. We felt well taken care of and would definitely return.
