First I never got the QR code that the guy at the gate said the host was supposed to send to my email I never got the propert had no WiFi the washcloths were dingy and the property is not like the pictures of j the website the host was ignoring my calls no communication I have plenty of pictures and videos from checking in to checking out and T was them most horrible stay ever I had my autistic grand kids and couldn’t watch tv to entertain them etc

The cleanliness of the property was below expectations. I would rate it 2 out of 5. The BBQ had cigarette pieces, the bathroom door curtain was broken, and the jacuzzi was not working. Both the jacuzzi and the pool looked yellow, which made them appear very dirty. The refrigerator was also missing its handle, which made it hard to open. Otherwise it was ok.

Walls of the home were dirty. There were also Holes in the carpet. Carpet had a mild odor. The wall paper of the wall was peeling. The home had no WiFi meaning that not only were our phones not working efficiently. Also we couldn’t work any of the TVS as they moved off WiFi. We made serval attempts to contact the host to rectify and he refused to respond. The fridge doesn’t get cold. I put serval beverages in both the fridge and freezer and nothing got cool. They had no wash clothes in the bathrooms and no hand soap. The gate code we were given didn’t work also.

Memorial Day

The house needs many repairs!! The doors didn;t lock that led to the outside patio, lights hanging down in the shower, no handle on the freezer door, the dryer sounded like it was going to explode. Overall, the curtains were really dirty, and many items were broken.

The light fixtures were hanging from ceiling in multiple rooms. The wall papers tore and hanging from walls. There was a chunk of carpet missing from bedroom floor. The blinds broke in master bathroom to the pool. Unable to use it. They left 1 towel per bedroom for a 4 night stay. Molding coming apart from wall. The rails broke on the stair case... The wifi didn't work... tvs didnt work.. some didnt even have cables. The games in game room only 1 worked. Hot tub didnt work. Knob for it is broken off. Curtain rod to pool door kept falling down. There was a frog in the house. The front door has clearly been broken before. It is easy to pull open if not locked. The owner promised a tech was coming friday for the wifi but noone came. I doubt he even really called. He ignored my messages about all the broken stuff. I do NOT recommend him or his listings. He honestly should refund us. It costed me 2 days from working my job because of the wifi issues.

No Communication!!

Definitely do not recommend! First off the host to this day still has not responded to one message I’ve sent all week and I have already left and checked out. Then the ac barely works, house is filthy and marks everywhere on the walls. Wallpaper ripping, stains and burn marks on the carpet. Stove top is burnt. Ceiling leaking!! Jacuzzi does not work and neither does the pool light. A lot of the furniture is damaged. And none of the TVs other than the living room and main bedroom were usable as none of them had working remotes. Overall the house was bad. The only positives: beds were comfortable, neighborhood was lively than others I’ve stayed at in storey lake and the pool was surprisingly clean for how the rest of the house was.

Don’t waste your money

Sliding door to the pool DOES NOT lock. Dryer doesn’t work, hot tub doesn’t work, no heat in pool nor hot tub, property not maintained at all. Sink leaks, broken decor, etc. pictures were taken when property was brand new. If you are looking for a vacation home that your kids or grandkids can spend time in a pool, look elsewhere.

Bed bugs

Amongst other concerns, my granddaughter got bit by bedbugs. Her arms and hands are covered with bites. She slept in one of the beds in the room with three beds in it. Also, fixtures are falling out of the ceiling, the wall paper is falling apart, there was a patch missing in the carpet in one of the rooms, the walls were filthy, there wasn’t enough towels, there was only two wash clothes, the handle is missing off the freezer door, there was no dish towels for the kitchen, the backs were missing off most of the remotes, the smoke detectors were pulled down and dangling. If you’re renting this property, make sure to bring EVERYTHING you need including, towels, wash clothes, tissue (only one roll per bathroom), paper towels, trash bags. They had very little cooking pots and pans. The owner really need to look into these complaints. I tried calling Jason and left a message but have not gotten a return call. The communication was not good. I didn’t get the code for the door until around 1:00 the day of. I didn’t get the gate code until after the arrival.

The hot tub does not have heater. Grill is unusable. Door sliders don't close or lock. Not enough towels. Kitchen not equiped. bleach out dishwasher filter it would not drain. Terrible experience and hope VRBO does something

Hi, worst experience:1. the dryer does not work at all, we found out after using the washer the dryer isn't working and had to go to a laundromat. The host never responded to my questions about dryer not working. 2. The dishwasher doesn't clean dishes at all, so we had to buy disposable products and wash by hand. 3. TV remotes were missing from various rooms. 4. Worst of all, the host never responds or responds super late like 3-4 days later. Hope VRBO unlists them from their services and others do not have to go through this bad experience.

Would not recommend

The check in process and size of the home were the only two things that I can say were ok about booking this property. I experienced a lot of issues that i contacted the host about, but never received a reply. The AC wasn’t working which was uncomfortable of course, there was food left over in the kitchen area from the previous guest which obviously leaves me to believe the home wasn’t properly cleaned, The overall cleanliness of the home could be a lot better and needs attention. The walls are dirty, the carpet needs to be cleaned, the railing on the stairs are broken, light fixtures are hanging from the ceiling, the front door looks like someone tried breaking into the home. There was a lot of concerns and none of this seemed to be of any importance to the host.I wouldn’t recommend staying at this home again not the best experience my family and I were disappointed with the overall quantity of the home and the neglect from the host.

Safety and Cleanliness Concerns

Subject: Urgent: Immediate Attention Required – Safety and Cleanliness ConcernsI hope this message finds you well. I am currently staying at your rental property and I need to report several urgent concerns that are seriously impacting the safety, cleanliness, and comfort of our stay:1. One of the three beds in the bedroom is completely broken and unusable. (High priority)2. All doors leading to the pool area are broken, creating a major safety hazard.(high priority)3. The hot tub is not operational—the control buttons do not function.4. A glass door is being held together with masking tape, which is extremely unsafe.5. There are five TVs on the property, but none have remote controls.6. There is an inadequate supply of linens—there are not enough towels for each room.7. The freezer door handle is missing.8. Most concerning, there is what appears to be dried vomit on the wall and on some of the linens—this is completely unacceptable from a hygiene standpoint.I respectfully request that these issues be addressed immediately, particularly those posing health and safety risks. Please let me know what steps will be taken and the expected timeline for resolution.Never heard back from the property manager.Third night we were there 1 o’clock in the morning police officers, looking for thieves in the neighborhood on edge all night since the back doors would not lock.

Safety and Privacy improvements needed

Cons *Check in info not provided till day of, even though VRBO stated we would receive them 3 days before check in. Did not reply to messages sent through VRBO, only phone calls. *Check in instructions not complete. Did not provide address on where to go to get gate information/code. *Sliding glass back door does not lock, so house not secure. *Blinds on main bathroom door leading to patio broken so no privacy when using the toilet. *Wallpaper peeled off in sections. *Remotes for some of the tvs missing. Pros *Provided clean towels and sheets. *House was clean but does show a lot of wear and tear. *Pool was nice. *Neighborhood conveniently located to lots of attractions. *Plenty of room for large groups and you don’t feel overcrowded.

Terrible.

Our family and friends rented this house for a week to celebrate the New Year, but unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. The house has so much potential—it’s spacious and could have been great—but it was poorly maintained and falling apart.The air conditioning did not work at all; the display was completely blank, making the house uncomfortable. The sliding doors from the living room to the pool area didn’t lock, which was a major safety concern with little kids. We constantly had to monitor them to ensure they didn’t open the doors, and it was stressful leaving the house knowing it was unsecured.Other issues included peeling wallpaper, a refrigerator handle that was falling off, dirty floors, and not enough towels provided, master bathroom door blinds broken giving us no privacy while using the toilet. The state of cleanliness and upkeep was unacceptable.The worst part, however, was the lack of communication with the owner. We didn’t receive the key code until hours before check-in, and only after we messaged them. Once we got in, we messaged about the AC and other concerns but never received a response.Overall, I cannot recommend this house, especially for families with young children. The lack of safety, cleanliness, and communication made this a disappointing experience.

more lows than highs

Location was great, no check in instructions, had to call. sleeps 15, only 8 towels until someone showed up with a bag from target. One roll of tp per bathroom, for 15 people for 3 nights, and owner confirmed this! NOT secure, bad door to pool, deadbolt broke, blinds broke, no tea towels or dishcloths to do dishes, broken smoke detector upstairs, peeled and torn wallpaper, hot tub switch broke so could not use. trash on ground out front. was not cleaned, dirty floors. i could go on...... if not the fact that we used it just to sleep as were gone all day, i would have canceled. kids loved the pool and game room, but only 8 forks, and very little kitchen supplies, would not rent again and owner was aware of all and didnt care. very disappointed as we planned this trip for 2 years, spent more time running to Target for supplies that should have been provided, 2 tablets for dishwasher and 2 garbage bags...... we own rentals and always keep them well stocked, not a hard thing to do......

Less than happy

The good, the location was great close to shopping and attractions. Neighborhood was nice and seemed safe. The home was large with plenty of room for our guests. The bad, the home was dirty we found trash (food ect) clothing and towels from previous guests, the kitchen had a film of grease/dirt on the appliances and lights. The ceiling had multiple broken lights hanging from the ceiling, the railings on the 2nd floor had multiple loose or broken pieces. The wall paper was sherdded and falling off the walls (ALOT) the BIGGEST issue we had was the back sliding door would not lock or even close properly so we were unable to secure the home at night or when we left. I messaged the host multiple times with no reply (I still have unanswered messages) they did answer the phone when I called and did send someone to repair the sliding door lock. The answer I was given for how dirty the home was that they had back to Back rentals and can’t always get everything clean... to me this is unacceptable. We travel quite frequently with a large group and stay in vacation rentals multiple times of year. We understand a little bit of wear and tear stained carpet ect, but this home was by far the worst.

Vacation rental experience

Where to begin! Booking the rental was easy! The property had many issues. I have been booking these rentals for years and this was the first time I came across a property like this one and to top it off nothing was done to correct the issues. The pictures on the online ad were not recent pictures of the property at all. The property was not properly cleaned Furniture was damaged The refrigerator had no handle The property smell was not pleasant at all The carpet was very dirty The paper wall on all the walls were torn None of the inside doors locked (including bathrooms) The main concern was that there were no alarms on the doors that led to the pool and doors did not lock either.(very hazardous with toddlers) when I called about those main doors not locking the pero son I talked to was very rude, sarcastic, and very unprofessional. He laughed at what I had to say and unfortunately he said he was the host and the owner, which I can’t believe the owner would talk to his guests the way that he did. Jason(owner/host) said there was nothing that he could do to help with the situation but that he would call around to see if someone could fix the locks on those doors. This is definitely not a 5star rental property or anywhere close. Very important to read the reviews before booking!!
