Off-grid and refreshing
We enjoyed our time in a new place next to good people (Amish family and property owner). Beautifully scenic throughout the area and even the property. Though we underestimated how rustic and “off-grid” the home was, it was still enjoyable. PLEASE NOTE: come prepared if you are one who enjoys tech, bring a HALO battery or other back-up battery devices, and download movies to you tablets/laptops. Otherwise, photography, board games and artwork, along with good neighborly interactions are all free of the need of electricity. We will be staying again the next time we are in the area.

Peaceful Get Away
Needed a quiet simple place to stay where our hunting dog would also be welcomed and treated with the respect a canine companion deserve. Red Rock Lodge fit the bill in all regards. Everything was clean, orderly, and well explained. The owner/host made us welcome, helped us check in, and offered some suggestions for nearby activities for both dogs and humans, but otherwise kept to himself, all of which we found endearing. We think Red Rock Lodge is the perfect match for hunters and families/campers who love the quiet simplicity of rustic living. There are batteries which power the lights, a propane fireplace for heat, but there is no WiFi, no internet access, no tv. Therefore those who feel the need for constant stimulation and internet connectivity may find themselves bored and even frustrated at the lack. But that's what we sought in booking Red Rock Lodge in the first place and we hope that never changes. We'll be sure to book again and return with our other dogs. Thank you for the hospitality!
