About this property

Ocean Winds Resort - (Previously Seawinds Resort)

This condo offers million-dollar ocean views, just 50 feet across the street from a private, sandy beach. This is a great small-family rental. ( sleeps 4 comfortably. It's a clean and bright, first-floor unit that has a full kitchen. (Pots, dishes, toaster, microwave, large fridge, kuerig coffee maker ) . It features one full bath and-a-half bath and air-conditioning. The beach is child-friendly. There are two separate sleeping areas divided by a door. This small 12-unit condominium complex has a large rear yard with a barbecue pit and picnic tables. There are charcoal grills and a clothes line for suits and towels along with an outdoor shower to rinse off sand. The yard is great for volleyball. Our private patio features spectacular views of the ocean. We're close to Rte 28 for shopping, dining, and entertainment.

Great location, our favorite place to stay. Cleaning crew arrived late, after check in which was a little inconvenient and felt like they rushed to get it done, but we didn’t let it overshadow the experience. Condo is great, property is great, can’t beat the location.

My vacation

We absolutely loved our stay. Great location too. The beds could have been a little more comfortable, but we sere so tired at night after long days on the beach, it was no big deal. We would love to return next year.

Great stay!

Had a wonderful week at Marie’s condo by the sea! Such a great location. My mom is 81 and on Oxygen, so the fact that this condo has a back door near the parking space was a big plus. We also loved that there was two bathrooms. Thanks for a great vacation!

Good place for vacation

Good place, good location, clean, comfortable, responsible owners. Can walk to the beach just in my swimming shorts because the beach is across a road. The apartment meets my "beach vacation place" needs.

Excellent location for beach lovers

Private beach right across the street from the condo. 5 adults (3 adult children & us) fit snuggly, but had fun (owner had communicated that it would be prior to our leasing agreement - she was excellent to work with). Patio was a relaxing area with an ocean view. Spent many mornings there enjoying coffee with my wife as the ‘kids’ slowly woke up.

Cute spot for a getaway

The condo is very nicely decorated and has a beautiful location. It was a pleasure to sit out on the side of the condo and look out at the ocean. The reason why it wasn’t five star rating all the way across is because the trundle bed in the front room was very old, very soft, and uncomfortable because the springs were coming through the mattress. This condo would be perfect if the mattresses were changed on the trundle bed, and an air conditioner was put in the front bedroom. The room was very stuffy and hot because the air conditioner in the main room doesn’t really reach into that room. We would love to stay again if the trundle mattresses were replaced and an air conditioner was put in the front room window. Marie was very nice and took care of an issue with the cable company. We hope to stay again.

Not what it is advertised as

The rental was advertised as a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit. The unit’s master bedroom is also the dining room/living room. The second bedroom had a sofa bed that had to be made-up every night in order to sleep. This room had no air conditioning & used a filthy oscillating fan to circulate the air. The kitchenette was tiny. There were no counter tops to prepare food. The drawers were utensils were stored was dirty & looked like it has never been properly cleaned. Within 2 hrs of arrival, the smoke alarm began to ring & we couldn’t get it to stop. Eventually, after trying to contact the owner, we had to get the local Fire Department to come and turn the alarm off. They said the alarm was defective & needed to be replaced. Upon reaching the owner by phone, we were assured that someone would be coming on Monday, since this was Saturday & the owner couldn’t get someone there till Monday. Monday came & went without the owner’s maintenance man coming to fix the smoke alarm. In fact no one ever came to replace the smoke alarm & the owner never called to check on whether the job was completed. For our entire stay we had no smoke alarm for the unit. This was reported to the Fire Department. The location was great. Right across the street from our condo was a private beach. I cannot with good conscience give this unit a good rating. I would not rent this unit again & would say to anyone interested in renting this unit to do so. It is not what it was advertised as & the owners are interested in just one thing -Money! Leaving us and the other units in the complex at risk by not replacing the smoke alarm is inexcusable. It shows how much the owners don’t care about the safety of it’s renters. In closing, I would not recommend this unit to anyone who is interested in higher end condos, this is not one to look at.

Labor day stay

We enjoyed our stay! We were close to the beach which was quiet after Labor day crowds left. We had an outdoor sitting area with ocean breezes and views. Highly recommend

Cute place with excellent location

This place is all about location. It is a clean place with flexible sleeping arrangements. We brought our small kids for a family vacation. The private beach across the road was the best. We could set up all day and go back for food or the bathroom. There is also a restaurant in walking distance for evening meals.

Perfect Place for the cape

Our family of 6, kids ranging from 18 to 9 had a great week. Great location...the shared private beach was never too crowded. The location was quiet beautiful. The unit was perfect for us. Clean and well-stocked kitchen and utensils. Easy check in and check out process. Highly recommend to anyone.

Fun Getaway!

We loved staying here. So close to the beach but the private patio was our favorite place to hang out and watch the action. Marie was very responsive to our questions. The bed was super comfortable. We had a great stay!

My husband & I have vacationed in this unit for several years and were thrilled to have the opportunity to purchase it in 2010! We are co-owners of a full service residential construction company/concierge service that serves the Newton/Wellesley area. We have been married for 38yrs and have two grown children.

Why they chose this property

We rented this unit for several years and did some remodeling work for the owner. When she was ready to sell, we were excited to have a chance to own such a great unit with and ocean view!

What makes this property unique

I love the fact that I can literally get out of bed, put on my swimsuit and hit the beach by simply crossing the street. I also love the area ~ great area for a morning/evening walk and there is a restaurant within walking distance.
