About Wayne or Candy
Candy and I have been married since 1974 and have two grown, married children and five grandchildren. I spent 26 years in business and transitioned to pastoral ministry in 1999. Now I coach men and women in business in faith-based leadership and culture. Candy loves teaching and nurturing, especially our grandchildren. She taught for 9 years on Chicago's West Side. We love being outdoors, reading, writing, biking, hiking and eating with family and friends. We love people and we love Jesus.
Wayne or Candy purchased this House in 1985
Why Wayne or Candy chose Green Lake
Green Lake is beautiful. It is not overcrowded as are some other lakes closer to metropolitan areas. We felt God led us here in the Fall of 1985 and dedicated it to rest and physical, mental and spiritual restoration. In 1995 we were able to build the home you see today on the site of the original hunting cottage.
What makes this House unique
We have prayed for God's shalom to be present with its renewing and refreshing power. Many people have told us how relaxed they have been while vacationing at our home.

This Home is very inviting and Beautiful.
Didn’t want to leave! Had a wonderful time with my Friends. This was our third year enjoying this house. We will be back.
Good and very good = 3.5 stars
Had a nice, relaxing long weekend Green Lake getaway. The main floor, where the Master Bedroom is located, we rated 4 stars. Very nice and comfortable. 3 stars were given for lower level where three of the bedrooms were. Comfortable but not as warm and comfortable for furnishings. One rug was curled on edge, trip item, we just pulled it out of way.
Wonderful Family Vacation
Great family vacation! Owners are so nice and very responsive. The lake is awesome, house is great!
Great place for family vacation
We had a great time spending a week with 9 family members in this beautiful home. The owners are very quick to respond to questions, and the week went very smoothly.
The location on Beyers Cove is very calm and quiet. The yard is large and level and perfect for outdoor games. The firepit is handy and the owners provide a good stock of firewood. The dock area is large. We did a lot of fishing-- caught a lot of small bluegills, bass and perch. We did catch several very large catfish from the dock in the evenings. (I realize that catfish are not an exciting game fish, but these were huge and we had fun!)
We went to Oakwood Beach for swimming and picnic one day and rented a pontoon boat another day. The owners provide quite a few water toys and life jackets. We also used the 2 kayaks almost everyday.
The house itself is very large and we thought the layout was perfect. Having 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths was probably the biggest advantage for us as we have 3 adult children who appreciated having their own private space. The kitchen is very well-stocked. We ate almost every meal on the screened porch or out on the deck.
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our week and everyone agreed that the house was great and we would be happy to return for another vacation. Thumbs up!
A great retreat on a protected bay of Green Lake.
Our family had a fantastic week. The weather was wonderful and this home provided a great layout allowing everyone comfort. Because the weather was so nice, we didn't need to use the WiFi or cable service too much, but having the availability was appreciated. Access of the outdoor grill and fire pit was easy and very relaxing after a day on the lake. We rented a pontoon from Action Marine which we easily docked alongside their pier. A great convenience given Green Lake is very long. While we did bring up a tow behind tube, we didn’t inflate it and took advantage of their offer to use the water toys that were in the garage. The younger kids, and adults, had a great time on the lake as a result.
Wonderful relaxing setting and well-stocked, beautiful home for a family get-together
We have had the best experience from the start. The Kunas are very good at giving a quick response to emails, and they are great to work with! Their website photos and information are a good and accurate reflection of their home. We found their home to be even more well-stocked than advertised! When groceries were needed, it was only a short drive to Princeton. The home is clean and well-maintained, pleasantly decorated, with comfortable furnishings and more than enough beds and space for our group of nine. We found the home child-friendly and safe for our nineteen month grandson. And he was wonderfully surprised to find many fun toys! The cove was generally quiet and peaceful. Our favorite activities were cooking on the grill and the gas stove (with a good selection of pans and dishes provided), eating and playing games in the screened-in porch overlooking the cove, reading and relaxing on the deck, riding the two kayaks, fishing off the dock (we caught quite a few small panfish--not enough for a main dish, but a tasty side dish), and making s'mores over the fire pit! The television and internet worked well. There were bicycles available, but we didn't see a pump to inflate the tires. I would suggest bringing a few extra lawn chairs. There were many choices of restaurants within a short drive, but we only went out to eat once. The early morning sunrise and evening sunsets on the cove are so pretty and peaceful, we didn't want to leave!
Water toys including, tubes, water noodles and a large inflatable island and two (2) kayaks. We are 45 minutes from the Wisconsin Dells and the Experimental Aircraft Association museum and outlet shops in Oshkosh. There are three golf courses within minutes of the home. A large Amish community with shops is located 20 minutes south west of our home. Princeton is also home to WI biggest flea market every Saturday morning during the summer and fall. The Green Lake county Free Fair in August, is country fun for the whole family.
