Inside, you’ll find new king beds, two kitchens, and a spacious living area. Outside, savor evenings around the firepit or head into town for dinner — Buck Rub Pub and 1840 are just 2 minutes away. Great location, right on Lake Francis. Lots of loon activity around dusk was a plus. Access to the Connecticut lakes was very good, the furthest away being only 30min. Not to mention the drive being along “moose alley”. We were lucky enough to spot one despite only staying for two nights. Property was in good shape, no complaints. Easy check in with personalized lock code. We didn’t end up needing anything but property manager was in contact and very responsive. Would stay again!

A truly wonderful experience

We had an incredible family vacation at the Lake Haven. The cabin has a perfect view, and is stocked with everything one could ask for. Its an ideal place for anyone wanting to spend a relaxing time on a mountain lake.

Gorgeous Lake front home

The property is exactly as it is described. Very private with a beautiful sloping lawn to the lake. Large home with plenty of space. Host is very knowledgeable of the surrounding area. Great for both summer and winter vacations.

Lake Haven

We had a wonderful time in this lovely and peaceful setting. We so enjoyed the morning on the porch in the rocking chair with our Bibles and coffee. The lake is great. Fun kayaking, canoeing, fishing, swimming. Beautiful views. The place was great!

Nice cabin with SxS trail access

No complaints at all. Able to access atv trails from cabin. Plenty of space for 3 trailers and vehicles. Cabin was extremely nice and check in and out was painless. Great view of lake Francis. Loved our stay and looking forward to coming again.

Awesome house and location!!!!

House was very clean, had all the comforts of home. We couldn't have asked for a better snowmobile stay. If we were to have any issues,which we didn't, Leigh was only an email away and I'm sure it would have been addressed immediately. When we come back next season, this WILL be the place.

Our stay was beautiful, house was just as described online. Judy was very responsive and checked in during our stay. We felt very welcome. The space was clean and had everything we needed. We would recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in Pittsburg. There was plenty of room for family lawn games. A spot to put kayaks in the lake.

A little slice of heaven !

Writing this review of such a remarkable rental , is simple. Its the best rental I've ever stayed at in New Hampshire. From the view , the layout of the property , the interior fixtures , communication with Judy and Lee, just the best. As avid fly fishermen , the location was perfect for our pursuit of fin with feather. Judy and Lee, thank you again , the pleasure and privilege of staying at your lovely home was all ours.

Peaceful and relaxing getaway

This is a beautiful area and the cabin is gorgeous. We had a mini vacation with the whole family. Our kids were able to rent atvs and had a blast. It was great to just walk down to the water and put the canoe and kayaks in. The house has everything you could possibly need. It was very quiet and peaceful. Love the porch with rocking chairs overlooking the lake. Sitting around a campfire was a great relaxing end to the day. The owners are very nice and easy to reach with any questions. They also have helpful recommendations. Good to be back again someday, next time with passports, to explore Canada which is so close. Highly recommend this cabin!

Had A Fantastic Stay At Lake Haven!

Five of us, (four adults and one child) spent the long 4th of July weekend at the Lake Haven, we had a great time! The cabin is clean and well kept with all modern amenities. The cabin is set nicely on a large parcel of land and the views are beautiful. Leigh the owner is very accommodating and went out of his way to make sure everything was great for our stay and was always available whenever I had a question. When I first booked the property with Leigh in January, I explained that we like to have campfires at night, but at the time there was no real means of doing so at the Lake Haven. Leigh went and purchased a brand new fire pit and chairs for the property. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting around the campfire at night, thank you Leigh! I would highly recommend the Lake Haven to anyone interested in spending time in The Great North Woods. We are already planning our trip back.

Snowmobile trip

The house was nice and clean. Great location on lake Francis. Parking for trucks and trailers was excellent. The only complaint I had was the door code i was given would not unlock the door. I think I spoke with the property owner about the issue, they said they would send someone to address the issue. I did not see anybody and couldn't figure out how to unlock door. Thankfully its a safe neighborhood so i just left the door unlocked while i was out. And the water pressure in the home was very low. It was hard to wash dishes with the laundry machine was running. Other than that the house was great. I would stay here again

Summertime At Lake Francis

Arrived 7/5 for three night stay to end a one week vacation. Wanted peace and quiet, with the lake experience and a clean comfortable place to stay. All I can say is 100% satisfaction, the only "noise" being the wonderful loons at dusk along with two other species of calls i never heard before. Even on Friday night with the local inhabitants of this large lake enjoying themselves, I was amazed at how quiet it was. no shouting, loud music or even fire works as the 4th had just passed. Nothing, except the loons... Much to see here. The Rainbow Grill must be experienced, must get reservations earlier than you think. If you are not successful with getting dinner reservations, the bar menu is delicious. Overall, modern comfort, big beds, an elevated view of the lake from the porch... Northern New Hampshire is a beautiful place.... Cost for our experience?? I do not easily part with my money unless I see a value.. This property is a value.... Thanks Judy & Leigh

Why they chose this property

Gorgeous lakes, incredible snowmobile system that touches 3 states and Canada. Skiing, ATV, Snowshoeing or just hanging out and listening to the loons. Folks are all really nice, and down to earth.

What makes this property unique

The home has has 3 proper bedrooms. 2 bedrooms have heated king sized beds. 1 bedroom has a king and a twin. Ideal for families and couples. The real stacked log home has a walk out basement and is directly on Lake Francis. Unique is the home has 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms. So adults upstairs, kids downstairs and have a great holiday. All the features make this one very special vacation home and unique in the area.
