The communication with the host was good.I was apprehensive about the stay bc the host messaged me saying that it was an error in adding protection to the property for our stay after I paid—which it wasn’t. I declined to add the protection at checkout. It was 89, but the hosted refunded that amount to add it. I didn’t like that we didn’t get check-in instructions until the day before. I had to message the host.They informed that I wouldn’t get instructions on how to check in until close to check in time because there were other guests in the property and they didn’t want to double book. Understandable, but I had no plans on trying to check in early. I just wanted to be prepared and feel secure in my purchase. The property looks as pictured. It has an old, musty/mildrew smell. The area is going through gentrification, so the neighborhood looks sketchy. There is only one couch in the living room. If you have more than 3 guests staying then the rest will have to sit on the floor. Also, said couch has an odor. It was impossible to cool the house down. We could never get the house below 73 degrees. That was only downstairs. If you sleep/use upstairs you will be in the pits of hell. It was extremely hot.The bathroom had no vent or circulation. The shower needs a shower curtain or door because the floor gets wet. I did like that they had toothbrushes and body wash. Also there was bottles of water in the fridge. More of 8 mins to Mercedes-Benz. Would not recommend or stay again
