The property is beautiful, both the home and the grounds. Coupled with the kindness of the owners who also gave us a tour of the property, this place was paradise to us.
Exceptional hosts and communication with Mark. He made us feel right at home and gave us snowshoes in case we wanted to explore. Later brought us extra coffee which was thoughtful. It was nice they lived next door but also felt we had plenty of privacy. House was cozy and warm and we enjoyed cooking all of our meals on the island cook stove in the spacious kitchen. Everything was clean and organized too. We highly recommend an extended stay here!! You won’t be disappointed.Thank you so much!
This place is wonderful: private, quiet, and in a gorgeous setting. My dad and I found the beds to be comfortable, the kitchen to be well equipped, and the overall layout to be conducive to relaxing. Bonus points for the shower/tub, which had plenty of hot water with good pressure and a stopper that works. The dishwasher works great. Although we weren't there long enough to need the washer/dryer, those appeared modern and like they would also work well. I did hand wash some delicate items and hang them on the backyard clothesline. Mark and Cindy are delightful; they seemed like they would be fun people to be friends with. As hosts, they were great. Mark took us on an extended tour of his land and explained a lot about the area. Cindy responded to all our "where is this thing?" questions promptly and pleasantly. They were around when needed but mostly left us alone. Tips to future guests:1. As is typical at very rural farmhouses, the cell service and wifi are slow and sometimes nonexistent. Don't go there planning to catch up on your web design work! (Just as well... It was probably healthy to take a week's break from the computer.) 2. The bedrooms are pretty dark; I didn't need my eye mask, but a small amount of light peeps through during the day. 3. The Silver Bend Trail and Wakpa Tanka Lookout are about ten minutes away by car and worth checking out. 4. I didn't see a barbecue in the listing, but there's one in the garage that you can use.
The home was perfect for our needs & we were pleased with everything. The communication was excellent. Also, it was really well equipped and a great place to stay. The views are spectacular! Thank you.
Overall, the stay was great. Stand alone home , in the country located in a farmyard. Host was friendly and accommodating. I e really had nothing negative to say.
We were very pleased to find this home to rent in the area near where we were visiting. We were five people in total and made use of the two queen bedrooms, plus the sofa bed and a cot that was set up for us in the living room. It was nice having the two bathrooms. There was lots of space, a fully equipped kitchen, easy access to the building and the host helped us promptly with a problem we had with the fridge which had been unplugged. Our only disappointment was the level of cleanliness in a few areas, which concerns we shared with the host.
We had a wonderful stay. The home was clean and comfortable. Mark and Cindy were very friendly, kind, and accommodating. We will definitely be spending more time at their rental in the future.
