About this property

Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, our spacious mountain home, Red Star Lodge, is your home away from home. Red Star Lodge is only 15 minutes from Helen and 90 minutes from Atlanta, secluded but close to everything. Enjoy the hustle and bustle of town, or visit the many wineries in the area. Relax with friends and family in a mountain retreat that is modern but rustic, spacious but cozy. The cook's kitchen seats 10 for those nights you want to stay in and the firepit area features a large gas grill. The house also sleeps up to 10. The two master suites have ensuite bathrooms. The loft master suite has a queen bed, an LCD TV, a private balcony, a whirlpool tub and separate shower. The main floor master features a king bed and wall mounted LCD TV with a full bath and laundry room. The lower level bedroom has two queen beds and the living area features a queen sleeper sofa. A full bath services the lower level. All bathrooms have upgraded amenities provided. The two great rooms on both floors feature floor to ceiling gas log fireplaces and LCD TVs. The lower level great room has a kitchenette with bar seating and a dining table. The game room features arcade and tabletop games, with PacMan, ping pong, air hockey and more. Enjoy the 6 person hot tub and watch the deer gather on the lawn below. Hi speed WiFi throughout the house keeps you connected. Visit https://helenga.org/ to see many things to do nearby. At the end of the day relax in the comfy chairs on the upper deck while twilight sets on Mount Yonah.

Excellent View, Lovely Great room

The lodge is picturesque and the view from the great room and deck is fantastic. The bedrooms are large and comfortable. Great kitchen! It is remote and drive to Helen or Clarksville is several minutes. While you are there, however, it is great.

Great place for the extended family! We all loved it!

We stayed with our two kids and both sets of grandparents and had a wonderful time. Both young and old enjoyed the house. We would definitely stay there again if we are back in the area. The owner was easy to work with as well. Thanks for a great stay!

House was perfect for our family vacation and kids had lots of play room downstairs, only thing was it being a little cold downstairs while loft was extra warm.

Perfect VRBO experience

The home was exactly as shown in the pictures. Excellent location - just minutes from downtown Helen. Excellent communication both by VRBO, and more importantly, by the homeowner. If you are looking for a well appointed mountain hideaway, with a beautiful mountain view this is your location.

Home and property were both very nice. The view from the house was beautiful (surrounded by Forrest, with a mountain in the background). Plenty of kitchen wear, towels, and most every normal house utensil was available. It was about a 15 minute ride to downtown Helen from the property, the house was nice and secluded with little to no noise pollution. The property manager was quick to reply, and the booking process was painless. We really enjoyed our stay, and look forward to returning in the future. I recommend this place??
