About Judine or Michael Mecseri
We (Michael and Judine Mecseri) both grew up in the mountains of Colorado but, moved to Manhattan in the late 80s to finish our college degrees. We ended up staying, building careers and raising our daughter. Manhattan has become “home” and Michael runs his own design/build business, Timber & Stone while Judine is the Director of Program Operations for Homecare & Hospice. We enjoy Manhattan and all it has to offer and wanted to make a place that would allow others to do the same, if only for a short while. It is such a pleasure to live in a community that is constantly improving itself. It's fun to see all the progress and take part in a town that's 'on-the-move'. As much as things have changed over the years, Manhattan still retains the great small town atmosphere while providing some great amenities. Our vision for the Houston Street Cottage is to provide a home-like setting for visitors to Manhattan while they are enjoying and experiencing the town. Houston Street Cottage is a second home for Michael’s parents, who live in Colorado. It is a place they can call home while visiting with their children and grandchildren. From our house to your home—we hope you enjoy your Home Away from Home at the Houston Street Cottage! Michael and Judine Mecseri Proprietors

This is our second stay at Houston St, great stay. Location is good, everything is very well organized and very cozy. Will definitely recommend to others and stay here again!!
This was our second stay at the cottage and it was just as great as the first! Comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. Such a nice place for our family to gather for K-state graduation weekend.
LOVELY, INVITING COTTAGE!
Charmingly appointed cottage. Everything was well organized throughout the home along with a fully stocked kitchen. Very clean, cozy and comfy!
Perfect Place to Stay for a Weekend in Manhattan
Normally when we come in for a KSU football game we stay at one of the hotels, but we decided to try out a HomeAway instead. And it was such a great choice! Judine and Micheal are so nice and the house is perfect. They have everything you could need in the house to cook meals and just sit back and relax. The house is very clean and a good location to campus and restaurants in the shopping centers nearby. We also really enjoyed being able to walk to First Watch for breakfast one morning. We will definitely look to stay here when we come up for future games!
Charming, clean, updated, walking distance to Downtown
House was well stocked with everything we needed. Felt like a home away from home. Bigger than pictures showed and more open flow between rooms than anticipated. Large sectional L couch and comfy seating for evening relaxation. Quiet neighborhood. Well kept and clean. Owners were very helpful with restaurant recommendations. Old house with lots of charm but updated and comfortable. Thank you! We would definitely stay again when visiting our son at KSU.
This house was perfect. The owners are absolutely wonderful to deal with. Always there to help.
