Garden Casita - pool, hot tub, pets, patio

Access all Los Angeles has to offer, from your secluded paradise outside of the busy city. This historic home was built in 1939 of adobe brick formed from the land on which it sits. With open beam redwood ceilings, this charming guest house includes a bedroom, master bath, fully equipped kitchen, living area, and dedicated workspace with super-fast Wi-Fi. Relax in your private garden patio with firewall for your morning coffee or evening drinks. Pool & spa available for guest use.

This quiet bedroom community is nestled at the edge of a national forest. We love the small town feel with local farmer's markets, and walkable streets that feel safe at any time of day. Nearby is a beautiful main street with restaurants, and shopping. Hiking trails run throughout the neighborhood, and true wilderness is minutes away up into the nearby mountains.

Kids and dogs welcome. We have 2 dogs and 3 cats that roam the property (all very friendly). While you can control whether these pets join you in the casita, if you have a life-threatening allergy to cats or dogs, this may not be the property for you. Pets are welcome with an additional cleaning fee, and they must be supervised by the guest, and be able to get along well with our animals if allowed outside.

The property is beautiful tucked away in a quiet area. Check in process was very straightforward. The owners were there to greet us with their friendly poodles when we arrived. Had such a wonderful time. Clean and well maintained little guest house. Owner even invited us to join them for breakfast one of the mornings we were there. Very warm, cozy, and inviting experience. Totally worth every penny!

My husband and our dogs love being here! We all feel right at home! Everything is clean and comfortable. The property is conveniently located and minutes away from Pasadena or downtown La Canada. We plan to return regularly!!

Great house, lovely pool and massive outdoor space. Clean and nicely decorated. Had everything we needed. Sofa bed for kids was comfy and easy to pull out. House was reasonable size for four when bed away but didn’t need tons of space inside anyway as we were in the pool or outside whenever we were not out. Air con very efficient. On a main road so great for exploring area, but, could hardly hear road from the garden. Shops for supplies only a few minutes away. Communication from host very quick. Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay in the Garden Casita. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was very nice, and the yard is fantastic! We were in town for Thanksgiving with the relatives which live close by so I appreciated having such a nice kitchen to make food in. We loved the wooden ceiling and the way it is decorated is very nice. So many nice and thoughtful touches to make our stay comfortable.

Our hosts were welcoming and helpful with first hand information of places to eat etc. They were conversational without being hovering and gave us the opportunity to take advantage of their outdoor space. The Casita itself was one of the most efficient/perfectly appointed and beautiful spaces that we have ever stayed in and its proximity to main roads, freeways and things to do was second to none.

We had a wonderful stay at the casita. The place is very well set up and comes with access to a lovely backyard. We enjoyed sitting outside during the day. There is also an outdoor fireplace although we did not use it. The interior is beautifully decorated and the bed and sofa were very comfortable. Great little find in a lovely neighborhood.

We just love staying in the Garden Casita and fell right at home with our two dogs! In fact, our stay is more like a fun vacation for the dogs than for us! They have a blast running around the yard and playing with the two "host" poodles. The Garden Casita is clean, inviting, and extremely comfortable. Its located right off the freeway and makes access to Pasadena and Los Angeles very easy. Yet, it is also located far enough away from noisy roads to be quiet.

Heavenly Casita!

My husband and I spent 2 nights at this wonderful La Canada Casita. It has such a warm and welcoming vibe with all the finest finishes and conveniences. The yard is best described as an oasis where we enjoyed having our morning coffee and our pup had a blast exploring and sniffing new smells. The owner, Doug, was easy to communicate with and made sure that we had everything we could possibly need for a pleasant get away. We look forward to coming back very soon!

We wanted to make sure to leave a 5* review for this stunning Casita in LaCanada/Flintridge so that others would know how absolutely wonderful our stay was. We were there for 8 nights and it was so comfortable and perfectly appointed with anything you might need. The gorgeous and huge backyard which included a pool, spa, gas fire table and grill were all available for our use. Doug and his family were so welcoming and helpful. We found that this was the perfect location to do day trips to explore all of the beauty surrounding LA. Coming home each night to our cozy, beautiful Casita was an absolute joy. All of the amenities and finishes were high end including the towels and bedding. We would highly recommend this VRBO and would stay here again.

Fantastic Stay!

The pictures of this location do not do it justice - just gorgeous! The property is easy to access and has all the modern amenities at your disposal. Location is perfect, peaceful with shops/restaurants just down the street and easy access to highway for travel to all the local sights - win/win! The host was incredibly friendly and gave us our space as well as some great suggestions of local scene to take in. Incredibly responsive as well! Give stars, couldn't recommend more highly!
