Our experience was great! Wonderful cabin with lots of amenities. We especially appreciated the wood stove. Very pleasant place to come home to after a day of hunting.
I was glad to see that at long last they got rid of the nasty old grill and got a new one.The new deck furniture was really nice too.

Wonderful location and totally off grid. Beautiful and cozy cabin. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get away from city life and just enjoy. Driveway is a tight trail through the woods so not sure how winter time works. 2 lovely lakes and a very quaint town. Will definitely look to book again.
The cabin is in a secluded location that is quiet surrounded by woods. Very close to town if you have to run in and grab something. Will defiantly book for next year.
Our family of four (two kids under three) absolutely loved this little cabin. It was neat and tidy, had plenty of extra blankets, pillows, and amenities for colder nights, and was just perfect for taking a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The kids loved exploring the acreage and watching the local wildlife, and playing in the yard and on the deck. It was very close to concunully state park and the reservoir, local hiking, and not too far from omak and Okanogan for any other needs. We highly recommend this getaway

From the owner: "Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it!"
We loved our stay in this secluded, clean, and well equipped home. Our family enjoyed being disconnected from it all and enjoying a bit of rest and relaxation.
Couple things to know before you come: there is no cell reception, no wifi, and it’s about 2 hours away from the Eastern side of the North Cascade National Parks Complex. The town of Conconully doesn’t really have many services. It’s truly a place to get away from it all. For our family, that fit exactly what we were looking for!

Called both people to contact them about who was staying there liked they asked. But no one ever called me back. Property shows lake right there. Not true. Yes, Conconully state park is close but not what it shows. Very clean, beautiful property, and love the cabin.

Great location, priced accordingly
Great location! Only negatives were the lawn was not mowed/very tall so misquitoes were more of an issue than they needed to be. Caution tape was streched across some decking on the perimiter of the cabin, pending repairs. House was fully stocked with linens and towels. No drip coffee maker as advertized and minimal kitchen supplies, dish soap, garbage bags, etc.

Hi Kelly, thanks for taking the time to review your stay. After reading your feedback, the homeowner wanted to share the following:
- Mosquitoes are a natural occurrence in forested areas, and they are beyond our control.
- We are working on updating the listing's features. While a coffee pot is not available, we do provide a Keurig coffee system with a complimentary selection of coffee and teas.
- The caution tape was intended to block off only a small portion of the ramp. We experienced property damage due to a harsh winter and are diligently working on repairs and improvements. The new front deck and bridge leading to the cabin show our ongoing efforts. The caution tape was put in place to ensure our guests' safety and prevent entry into the damaged area until repairs can be completed.
Once again, we genuinely appreciate your review and your valuable feedback.
This is an ideal secluded cabin. There is zero cell service so make sure to download the check-in instructions (and gate code) well before you arrive. The cabin has a minimalist feel, so make sure you bring your own lawn chairs and picnic table. The mosquitos were bad this year (not just here, but all over Conconully) so bring bug spray and some sort of outdoor repellent (candles, thermocell, etc). Driveway is steep and winding, 4x4 could be necessary if it were wet, definitely necessary if there is snow. Overall a great place to stay.
Great cabin, 2 min. to fishing, perfect for 2 couples
We had a really great experience. Well stocked cabin, the ACs were charged and actually cooled the place to a perfect temp.
The lawn was mowed and sprinkled every night. Some of the dining chairs were pretty rickety, and we had to clean the grill a lot but that is nothing.
The fishing was just minutes away and we caught 2 full stringers of 12-14" trout including an 18" 3 pounder.
This is sooo much better than staying in a group camp with a horde of ATVs and motorbikes.
I wanted to post a picture of the baby bear 6 feet out the dining room window and the doe and 2 spotted fawns that hung out every day but not sure how.
5 star Triple A, we'll be back next year.

The good, the bad, and the ugly
We loved the location of the cabin -- a private, scenic, secluded place to get away from the world. The amenities in the cabin, and some of the basic needs, however, were lacking. The only working source of heat came from a wood burning stove for which pine rounds had been provided, but not split for direct use in the stove. Although there were space heaters in several rooms, the ones in both upstairs bedrooms did not work. In order to have functioning heat, therefore, the fire had to be tended 24/7. Also, the second day we were in the cabin, the water stopped running which required us to drive toward town for cell service to contact the owner who talked us through how to hook it up again. The cabin had an 18" TV, very outdated/worn couches, and no extra cooking materials, for example a coffee maker, but no coffee. The tap water had a distinct, unpleasant sulfur smell.

Kent, thank you for your review. This homeowner has asked us to pass along the following response:
"Our parents built this cabin from the ground up and now we have opened up the cabin, hoping to share the best of the Pacific Northwest and Conconully. There is multiple heat sources, hot water, new queen beds, clean sheets, linens, towels, pillows, electric stove, new toaster, plenty of glasses and dishes, an amazing setting away from people, fresh air, snow, card games, and on and on the list could go.
The wood stove is not the only source of heat. In the living room, there is baseboard heat. There was also a wall heater in the kitchen and one wall heater in the bathroom. It is good to know, however, that the space heaters upstairs did not work. We will address that issue immediately.
The wood for the fireplace was split and ready to go. The intended wood is across the parking lot sitting on an apple bin. There was plenty of split wood for the weekend. We stack the split wood away from the cabin due to fire danger in the county. Although, we should make it more obvious for our guests.
The cabin is on a private well and not on city water so on occasion power can go off and affect the water supply. We made sure we were available to you in case something came up and offered to come up and reset the pump.
On our online listing, we specifically say there is no cell phone coverage. Most of our guests like to get away from all of the technology and we call our cabin a “cell-free zone”. The same concept applies to the TV. We want our guests to focus on family and each other. Play games, hike, fish, hunt, talk, etc.
The couches may be of an outdated style but they have no rips, holes, cigarette burns, stains. They are exactly as pictured on our online listing, which all renters can view prior to booking.
We do have a coffee pot and also a waffle maker. But we do not supply the coffee or waffle mix. Our listing states that the guests are to provide their own supplies. We intentionally do not supply coffee as it is one of those specialty items that everyone has their favorite blend.
The sulfur smell is something that we have worked on. We contacted the hot water tank manufacturer this past summer about this. We made some changes, which did reduce the odor by 95-99%. We will continue to work on that water sulfur smell since the recommended fix did not remove 100% of the smell."
Best, the Homeowners and the Evolve Team
The property is a nice quiet escape and a good break from technology. It was well located for our loop through the cascades and we had a peaceful two night stay.
We had a great stay in the cabin and a cabin it is. Don’t expect something different because it isn’t. Our party of 3 enjoyed the cabin and the rustic atmosphere. Bring your own entertainment and enjoy. We will be back. A
Everything was as listed. AC units were a God send! We brought our UTVs and the cabin was in a great area, trails were right up the road or cruise thru town to hit the other trails. We loved the back deck, the stars were amazing! Will definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing this little slice of heaven!
We were so happy for this isolated space, it gave my young nephews room to roam!! We couldn't get the tv to work but no big deal... loved that we had no cell phone service!! We hope to use again.... visiting from Oregon!

Conconelly Weekend
Not a problem for my brother & I but lots of large black ants inside the house. The BBQ should be replaced. It is wobbly, partially rusted out and I feel unsafe for the average person to use. With this property being situated on 42 acres we were disappointed there was no fire pit but that would not deter us from staying again. Wood burning stove with plenty of wood. There were plenty of bath/hand towels, wash rags, cleaning supplies, plenty of linens, all the utensils, pot/pans & cookware that you need, adequate heat, large windows for viewing the beautiful scenery. Gated property with lots of hiking available and you can hear West Fork Salmon Creek in the back ground. Conconully Lake and Conconully Reservoir are a short 5 minute drive.
We look forward the staying at Baldy Mt. Lodge the next time I’m in the area.
I would have given a 4.5 star rating if that option was available.
Overall we were happy with our stay. Cute, rustic cabin with all the necessities. I really felt like I stepped back in time. No cell service and The Dick Van Dyke Show on VHS! Yes there were some bugs, but that's to be expected and they didn't bother us. Although I do suggest removing the cobwebs from the light fixtures and ceiling beams. Jeff was incredibly helpful when I called prior to arrival, he even left some wood for us near the porch! My boyfriend especially loved exploring the property and wants to come back ASAP. Thank you for the relaxing weekend!
We loved how peaceful and secluded it was. It is not often these days that you get to be completely off the grid, including cellphones and internet. The cabin is simple and rustic, but felt cozy, especially with the wood-burning stove. There is plenty of wood provided (but it is wet from the snow so consider brining dry kindling and wood of your own to get things started). The tap-water did smell a bit off, so we'd bring our own filter or drinking water next time. Thank you for sharing your cute, cozy, peaceful, rustic, cabin!

Cabin in the woods
We stayed here over Thanksgiving. There was snow on the ground and it was very peaceful. The cabin is not as big as it looks in the pictures but plenty of room for the two of us. There is one baseboard heater in the dining room, a small wall heater in the kitchen and bathroom. Just portable heaters upstairs. There were a few pieces of wood for the wood stove but my husband had to find and split wood or we would’ve froze. Summertime probably wouldn’t be an issue. The “welcome book” said we could buy wood in town...really? Bring your own kitchen towels and a sponge or scrubber for doing dishes. Most utensils, pots and pans are available. One burner on the stove does not work. There were a few bugs in the house but this is a cabin in the woods not a hotel room.
