We really enjoyed our extended family vacation in this beautiful home! It had everything we needed and enough space for all of us to have fun together and relax. The kids enjoyed having their own upstairs living area, and the adults appreciated that as well;). The spacious yard allowed for many whiffle ball games, and running around. We rented a pontoon from a local business and it was so easy to pick it up at the access point and tie it to the dock when not in use. The hosts were very responsive and easy to work with. We would highly recommend this home, and would definitely stay here again!
Our family had a great stay at this property. It is very clean and beautifully built. Great yard! Couple things to note: Only outdoor furniture they provide is on the patio. The logs around the firepit are not ideal for sitting around the fire and they provide no other outdoor seating options. Not the best equipped kitchen I've seen in an VRBOAlso, found it very odd that they do not.provide any extra kitchen trash bags. A small inconvenience, but for the price you are paying I don't see why a roll of trash bags cant be provided Bedding is awful and the most cheap feeling sheets

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're so glad to hear your family enjoyed your stay and appreciated the cleanliness, quality of the home, and spacious yard.
We also appreciate your feedback, as we're always looking for ways to enhance the guest experience. We do wish you had reached out during your stay, as we would have been happy to help. We keep extra kitchen, garage, and bathroom trash bags in the storage area beneath the kitchen sink, and we would have gladly directed you to them. Likewise, if there were any kitchen items you felt were missing, we would have done our best to provide them. In the three years we've hosted this home, this is the first time we've received feedback that the kitchen wasn't adequately equipped, but we appreciate hearing your perspective and will continue evaluating our inventory.
Regarding the firepit, the seating area is represented in our listing photos so guests know what to expect before booking. That said, we understand that seating preferences vary, and we appreciate the suggestion.
We also appreciate your comments regarding the bedding. We understand that sheet preferences can be very personal, but guest feedback is always valuable as we continue making improvements. The professional cleaning company we work with provides linens, so we will be sure to pass this feedback along.
Thank you again for staying with us. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future.
We had an outstanding stay at this gorgeous home with upscale finishes and beautiful decor. The property is stunning and our young boys (ages 5, 3, and 2 yrs) loved playing in the woods and sitting by the campfire. We spent the majority of our time outside in the beautiful private outdoor space. The hosts made check in and out so easy. We would definitely stay again!
The house was beautiful and very private at the end of the road. We really appreciated the kitchen layout and how organized it was. Great neighborhood for walking.
The location of the house was absolutely perfect. Easy to get to, and quick to get to surrounding areas. The backyard is huge and perfect for outdoor activities. The host was quick with responses and anything we needed. We had a large group for almost a week, and the house was perfect. Definitely would recommend!
This home is beautifully decorated and comfortable. Situated at the end of a street and surrounded by trees, it offers a private peaceful setting with incredible views of the sunrise. The layout was perfect for our group of 10 and we had a wonderful time together. This home is an A+ on my list!
This home was amazing and very well thought out. The home easily fit our 9 teens and adults. The bunk room was perfect for the teens. The backyard was one of our favorites as we set up yard games and played throughout the week. There are weeds surrounding the dock, although we did not have any issues getting the boat in or out. We also had a great time fishing and boating on Lake Lizzie. We would definitely come here again!

Thank you for staying with us! We'd love to host you again!
Property and all was excellent. We stayed here as we did missions work to the Indian Reservations. No iron or ironing board that would have been helpful but all else was excellent.
Very nice property with great lake view. Plenty of room for our extended family. Garage area large and had some games and room to play on a rainy day and evening. And on a clear night, the fire pit was inviting.
Absolutely loved the place! The house itself is gorgeous and the outside setting complimented it even more. I liked that the house wasn’t side to side with another house like some on the same road and that there was more than enough room for the 10 of us. The house is gorgeous and was very clean and tidy when we showed up. Check in was easy and convenient. When we showed up, one of the fire alarms was beeping because it needed it’s battery needed to be changed and they came out as soon as they could to come change it out for us (it was one up high) so definitely appreciated that! 10/10 would recommend.
The property was perfect. Had everything we needed, wonderful rooms and plenty of space indoors for our two kids for downtime and playing. Lake Lizzie was a wonderful lake to be on. I had seen a review that mentioned the weeds by the dock making it hard to get the boat in and out and as we brought a boat I was a little worried at how that would go but we had absolutely no issues with the pontoon we brought and for swimming with the kids we went to the large sandy spot on Lake Lizzie and parked the boat which was perfect for our kids wanting to play in the lake! Definitely recommend.
This property was beautiful inside and out. The house and amenities were very new, clean, and neat. The house was a perfect size for our family of 5, my sister's family of 6, and 2 additional nephews. The backyard was a great escape... we were able to have coffee every morning out on the patio, where we felt secluded from the neighbors, and had a beautiful view of the lake. The yard was good sized and worked well for yard games. The lake was great as well... the area around the dock was shallow enough for swimming and exploring. The rest of the lake was quiet most of the week, and we were able to enjoy tubing, skiing, and even had success fishing. I would definitely go back! The only suggestion I would make would be to add an extra refrigerator in the garage for overflow and beverages. Super fun getaway! Our families thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
We rented this beautiful property for my sister's and my family for when we were in the area for my mom's celebration of life. The location was perfect. Family could drive or even walk to the Cornfield for breakfast, easy access to Hwy 59 to The Barn where the service was and to Pelican Lake. The house is new and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is large and very well equipped. Plenty of dining space, love the new appliances including the washer and dryer. The bunk room was great for one of our daughters who has three little ones. The primary bedroom is spacious with a comfortable bed and beautiful bathroom. The other two bedrooms are great, but the beds are only full size where queens would be so much better. The game room in the garage was fun and would be perfect for a rainy day for the kids. The outdoor space is also beautiful! We enjoyed our stay and only wished we had more time to enjoy everything that this property had to offer!
We rented this beautiful home to celebrate a milestone family birthday and it was absolutely perfect! We loved having multiple places to gather--some folks sat by the fire while others did puzzles at the table and others made dinner in the kitchen. We played games in the garage and enjoyed walks down the road to take in the fall colors. We felt like we were together without feeling crowded. The setting was private and gorgeous, with a big lakeside yard, a fire pit, a cozy patio, and of course the house itself. There were ample dishes and glassware for our large group, comfy beds, extra towels and blankets, and everything we needed to feel at home for a few days.
The best part of this house is that it's the most accessible I found in the area. We had two in our group who use walkers and wheelchairs and they were able to navigate the house easily. Note that there are no grab bars in the showers or with the toilets, but we managed fine without them.
We can't wait to stay here again!
Our family rented this cabin for a short winter getaway. The place is newly built and pristine—I think we must be some of the first renters. The entire experience was great! The owners are local and super easy to work with. The weather was mild for a Minnesota winter during our stay, so the kids were able to play outside—which was great. The cabin is the last house on the road and feels very secluded despite the fact it is within miles of a couple of towns and just down the road from a great little general store/cafe. It is surrounded on two sides by forest, and you can barely see the only neighbor’s house—we felt like we were in the wilderness. There is also a lot of wildlife in the area, which made the kids feel like they were in the middle of a Disney movie 😊. There is a huge bunk room on the upper level of the cabin with four beds, a couch and nice TV. The kids spent a lot of time up there, which gave the adults some much need quiet. We absolutely plan on renting this place again—hopefully in the summer when we can enjoy the water and the beach. We’re planning on inviting some extended family to join us since there is a ton of room. We didn’t even use two of the bedrooms during this trip.

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay with us. Please visit again!
We recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning lake home for a weekend getaway from the Twin Cities, and it truly exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the property is not only beautiful but also lovingly maintained. The immaculate yard was a perfect first impression – lush, green, and perfectly manicured, it provided the ideal setting for relaxing and taking in the peaceful surroundings.
The lake itself was serene and inviting, with crystal-clear waters that shimmered in the sunlight. The quiet privacy of the location was a major highlight – it felt like our own personal oasis, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The home was equally impressive, beautifully decorated and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need. It’s clear the hosts take great pride in their property, as every detail was well cared for, from the cozy furnishings to the well-stocked kitchen. The charm of the home was complemented by its perfect blend of rustic lakehouse vibes and modern comforts, making it an ideal retreat for relaxation.
We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful mornings on the patio with a cup of coffee, watching the sunrise over the lake, and the evenings spent stargazing by the fire pit. This home offers the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience, with everything you need for a comfortable and memorable stay.
Five stars all around!
We stayed at Twin Oaks with our two children and my in-laws in January 2024 and enjoyed every minute of our stay!
The home is situated at the end of the road on a large piece of land, but completely private and enclosed by trees. Every window offered a gorgeous view of either the lake or forest.
We spent lots of time cooking/ baking in the well equipped kitchen. The lantern speakers were a great amenity to listen to our favorite play lists anywhere in the home + outside.
The primary suite was so relaxing. Both the bedroom and spa-inspired bathroom offer views of the lake. We loved every detail of this space and even got to watch deer and fox in the front yard when we woke up one morning.
The tall windows and fireplace in the living room, made for our favorite space to hang out and enjoy the view. It felt like we were in a snow globe all weekend.
All of the bedrooms were cozy with comfortable beds, pillows and linens. The TV's are a nice touch when we wanted a break from the living room.
Our kids loved the loft + bunk space, playing games, watching movies, etc. We shoveled an ice rink on the lake and enjoyed time outside with them as well. It wasn't quite warm enough to make use of the bonfire pit, but we'll surely use it on our next visit.
We all enjoyed the game tables in the heated garage and it gave our kids a place to get some energy out when it was too cold to be outside.
Location + home are perfect. Can't wait to come back this summer!
