Our fully equipped home with a brand new kitchen, stainless steel appliances, and a huge farmhouse sink will make you feel at home when you bring your fresh catch home for your culinary skills to kick in.
Beautiful linen couches with huge pillows to envelop you after a long day outdoors. We have local artwork displayed throughout which we have collected from Key Largo to Key West for your enjoyment.
Be our guest when you rent at the: Cabana Club with our own private beach, pool, bar, and grille. Beach Chairs and Lounge Chairs are standard, just bring your towel, and book and enjoy!!!!
There are 3- great restaurants to enjoy: Sparkys Landing with its famous fish tacos, happy hour specials, and dining on the water- the fish stories are free as you watch the charters come in with their catch of the day!
Havana Jacks: dining on the beach- come at sunset- you will
never forget the sunset bouncing off the Gatorade blue waters.
Key Colony Beach Inn: A great Sunday Brunch.
The two bedrooms with hotel-quality linens and featherbedding will ensure a great night's sleep after a day in the sun.
We are also equipped with an LG washer and dryer for your convenience.
Use our 26ft. backyard step-down dock for your boat, kayaking, or swimming for easy loading or unloading for all your needs.
A fishing station is located on the dock for cleaning your catch of the day.

Fun in the Keys

The Hammerhead Cottage was absolutely the perfect place for my husband and I to stay. We loved being on a canal, even though we aren’t fishermen, it was fun to see the boats come in with their catch of the day. We started every morning on the patio with our coffee and ended every day with a glass of wine there. We didn’t cook much but the kitchen was well supplied with everything that would be needed to make a meal. There was also the convenience of a washer and dryer for our use. Laundry soap and dryer sheets were provided in a welcome bag from our hosts!! Having access to the Cabana Club, just a short drive or walk away, was a huge plus. We enjoyed time at the beach and the pool plus we were able to get out of the sun when needed in the bar area or gift shop. There were so many things for us to do in the community of Marathon. We especially enjoyed the Dolphin Research Center, a kayak tour through the mangroves, and a nature hike at the state park. Great dining in the are as well. Don’t miss the Sunset Grill, Sparkey’s Landing, and Herbies……and many more! Made a day trip to Key West which was just a 1 hour drive away. Our hosts were in contact with us several times during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. We have have stayed in many VRBO’s over the years and this one is topnotch! We would absolutely stay here again👍

Hammerhead Heaven

My husband and I stayed at Hammerhead Hideaway for 3 weeks in February 2024. It was a wonderful vacation. The cottage was adorable and clean and comfortable just as the photos and the hosts described. It was well stock with necessities and bedding, etc. Dale & Jennifer were friendly and communicative throughout the entire process. We hope to get back to the Hammerhead Hideaway again. We highly recommend it!

Great Area and Rental

We had a wonderful stay at this rental in Key Colony. The house was stocked with everything we needed and more AND the owners were wonderful to work with. They even greeted us with a small gift bag and welcome card when we arrived. Key Colony was a great choice for our family with access to the Cabana Club and the private beaches. Sunset Park was a short walk which we enjoyed with the family. We chose to rent bikes from the Marina which they delivered and picked up when requested. The back patio area was a nice place to just enjoy the outdoor area and canal. We highly recommend this rental - it was perfect for our family!
