A few close friends and I decided to invest in this charming four-plex as a way to create a shared getaway "a place where we could escape the hustle", spend time together, and enjoy the best of what the area has to offer.
We were immediately drawn to the location. It’s just minutes from all the main attractions, yet tucked away beside a peaceful golf course that keeps things calm and quiet. It struck the perfect balance for us: close to the action when we want it, and serene when we need to recharge.

Why they chose this property
When I first came across this neighborhood, I knew it was something special. It’s one of Playa del Carmen’s most loved areas—and for good reason. I was drawn to the peaceful atmosphere created by the surrounding golf course. Even though I don’t golf, I knew that kind of setting meant quiet mornings and relaxing evenings. At the same time, the vibrant energy of 5th Avenue is just around the corner. Whether you’re into great restaurants, beach clubs, or nightlife, everything is easily accessible. This spot offers the best of both worlds: tranquility when you want it, and excitement when you don’t want to miss a thing.
What makes this property unique
What truly sets this apartment apart is the love and intention that went into every detail of its design. My wife has a passion for repurposing furniture, and over the course of two years, she carefully curated pieces from all over Mexico—especially Tijuana and Guanajuato—as well as from our home base in San Diego. She personally selected, restored, and styled each item, giving the space a warm and eclectic charm you won’t find in a standard rental. Everything was transported by truck and brought together in our newly renovated four-plex, with each corner of the apartment thoughtfully planned and designed by her. It’s more than just a place to stay—it’s a space full of character, stories, and soul.
