The Outside Inn was absolutely what we needed....relaxing, peaceful, quality time surrounded by beautiful farm animals. The accommodations were very nice and our host, Heather, was lovely. We hope to be back very soon.
We checked in late, but the host was reachable. First impressions - this cabin was so cute! It smelled like Christmas. The animals were out. The patio lights were on. It was so welcoming. They had tons of snacks (my 12 yo old was on top of that immediately). Everything was clean and cozy.
Our stay at the Tipsy Goat Ranch was amazing. The place was immaculate and decorated so perfectly. The goats, lambs and alpaca were so sweet and entertaining, especially being able to feed them right from the bedroom window. The jacuzzi on the deck was a great end to the day.I would definitely recommend a stay here if you get the chance,
A nice place to get away. A bit smaller than anticipated, but it was sufficient. The pool was very cold. Even on an 80 sunny day, it was too much. The water features didn't seem to be working either. The hot tub was plenty warm though. The animals are a great added attraction.
We had a great stay! Very clean and they had everything you needed there. The animals were super friendly and the kids enjoyed feeding them! We especially liked the Alpaca. Our Daughter liked the jacuzzi and the play area.
Super cute property. Actual house is snug but maximizes space and fit two adults and two kids. Kids enjoyed feeding animals, hot tub, and exploring the ranch.Address is a little hidden, so detailed/specific directions from host were very handy. Host was very easy to communicate with.
We had a fabulous time feeding the animals and relaxing at The Outside Inn. Our 11 year old enjoyed sleeping up in the loft. Our hard to please 15 year old son even enjoyed spending time with the animals. We would definitely stay here again.
Such a fantastic little hideaway, hot tub , very modern technology inside the property. Access to a private hot tub , pool and gym . Lovely snacks box on arrival , lots of coffee , everything u need is a 10 min drive away and 35 mins from down town San Diego
Our family of 4 stayed here for the second time and we loved it so much we hope to make it an annual adventure! The Outside Inn is magical, charming, and rustic. Being greeted every morning by goats at our window and being able to enjoy the playground and pool were huge bonuses for our kids.
We really enjoyed our stay in this super cute little inn. It was super cozy, smartly organized, and offered a lot in a small footprint! Our kids loved the loft, and there was even lighting and a fan provided up there to make it more useable. Our host was very quick to reply if we needed anything and checked to see if we needed anything at least once. I was surprised by a few things that, if different, would have made our stay even better:(1) there is no grass and the property is on a steep hill. The grass shown in the photos is turf and only located on the steps near the home as shown. I had expected my kids would be able to run around outside and play, but with only a gravel hill (quite steep in some places) and no grass, it wasn’t what I hoped.(2) the “ranch” described for this vrbo is actually just a large home maybe 200’ away from the little farmhouse. This may not bother most people, but it did feel a bit odd using the pool when it was like entering someone’s backyard. It’s not like a ranch where there are multiple cabins and a public pool and gym. So the vibe was just different.(3) a children’s play area is listed in the description but not currently present, so we were a little bummed about that. (4) there did seem to be an archery target but to access equipment or any other specialty items it seems we’d need to arrange w/the host, not something you could just go do on a whim. These are not super major things, but had I known these I may have chosen differently
Exceeded our expectations on all levels. Sad we didn’t have more time to spend there. The barn turned home was amazing- home sweet home feeling. The access to animals was top tier. There’s really no reason to leave the property if you come prepared with meals. The house manual was . This could be a romantic getaway, a weekend reset, and great for all ages.
Totally adorable and loved the animals!Only issue was the 2nd bedroom was a loft with a ladder and my sisters and I are all in our mid 70’s and so my one sister had to sleep on the love seat !! Would have been perfect for children!!!
We stayed one night celebrating our seven-year-old birthday with our nine year old as well and we all had a blast. If anyone has an Animal lover or young farmer, they will truly enjoy feeding the animals. We must’ve spent hours when we added up the time just feeding the animals and laughing. Thank you so much, Heather for your kindness And the awesome coffee will be back.
We had the best time at the Tipsy Goat playing with the goats, Llama, chickens and Rabbits. We liked that we were allowed to go in with the animals and love on them as well as feed them. They are all well fed and lovingly taken care of. The house was extremely clean and cozy. There was a lot of coffee and snack options available. The owner thought of everything. We are looking forward to coming back soo!
This was truly an experience to stay here at the Tipsy Goat Ranch. We loved feeding the animals, enjoyed the hot tub, just be there and relax. Everything was clean, the house was full of fun quotes and nice details. You can feel that Heather wants you to feel at home and enjoy your time there. I would recommend to stay here! We stayed for 3 nights. When we entered the house in te evening, our first thought was: 3 nights won't be enough. It was so welcoming, the complete atmosphere, the bounding with the animals, all the details... We will definitely come back. This is a place you could easily stay for a week. We planned to visit San Diego on our first day, but we decided to stay for a full day at the ranch and we all loved this day. The next day we went to San Diego and it was a short and easy 30min drive. This was by far the best and most memorable accomodation of our roadtrip.
