About this property

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. This cottage features a marvelous sunroom overlooking Lake Elinor. A large kitchen and a huge living room are perfect for entertaining. This lake is fun to fish with clarity to 12 ft and depths to 38 ft. Summer months brings warm water perfect for swimming! We have kayaks, row boats and SUP for play on the lake. 10 bicycles of various children's and adult sizes are available in the garage to ride around town.

Hello everyone! I'm Alison, I was born in Manistee, Michigan. My husband and I are blessed with 3 daughters, ages 8, 5 & our special needs baby is almost 2 years old!

In 2022, we began attending our local Mennonite church, which has been a huge blessing to our family! We are so grateful we are able to have our children attend their Christian based private school. Being apart of their community has brought us closer to the Lord and our church family is very supportive while we are on our new life journey to become more like Christ everyday.

We are so grateful to live in Northern MI to enjoy our favorite outdoor activities, such as hiking nature trails, swimming, kayaking, Honda 90 Trail riding, ice skating, skiing and snowmobiling.

I'm a stay-at-home mom and now also an Airbnb and VRBO host and really learned to love it! Before I was married, my favorite job was housekeeping at a Christian family camp and today I am still using what I learned when cleaning the Lake House. My goal is to always provide a clean and comfortable home for our guests.

We were very fortunate to have found this beautiful house on Lake Elinor and to have the opportunity to share it with others.

Why they chose this property

Brethren is a centrally located little town that is not too far away from some favorite things to do all year round! Lake Michigan, Manistee, Tippy Dam, Crystal Mountain, Traverse City... So many things to do in all directions. But my family's favorite is to just enjoy what the lake house has to offer like swimming, kayaking, riding bikes, and hiking at Spirit of the Woods! Brethren is a quiet town and everyone is so friendly!

Lake Elinor Retreat is unique because it has 266' of lake frontage with a beautiful sunroom overlooking it. The layout of the house is very family oriented and the large yard will keep of the family busy playing outdoor games!
