The property is great! Our stay was perfect. It is cozy, but it has all the necessary items to make the stay pleasant. The cabin is clean, and the surrounding grounds are beautiful and interesting.
Host was very friendly and accommodating. Great property to walk. Cabin is perfect size for a small group and super cute. Great locations with many places to see nearby. Highly recommend Michigan Legacy Art Park, Gwen Frostic Prints and Lake Bluff Bird Sanctuary.
Everything was great- we were very happy with the location and the hospitality. Ray and Kate supplied everything we needed and more. Thank you, Ray and Kate, for a beautiful stay and relaxing weekend.Tim & Tammy (Pinckney MI)Robin & Danny (Redford MI)
Kate kindly greeted me when I arrived, and provided "room service" with towels and trash. This was my second stay, and it is clean, soaps, coffee, toaster, microwave, cozy. Nice place to travel to nearby sights from. Also lovely firepit and outdoor table and chairs.
We could not have asked for a more perfect weekend. The cabin was clean and cozy and we absolutely loved the peace and tranquility of the surrounding woods. We’re looking forward to staying again!
Stayed here 4 days. Great outdoor location for getaway. Host was very attentive and came in every day to exchange towels, make beds, etc. Couldn't have been better. Will stay again
My husband and I came for the weekend- I ran a trail race and my husband went fly fishing. This was such a cozy, beautiful spot! Great for anyone who loves the outdoors and wants a camping feel without the tent! Such gracious, helpful hosts. Would absolutely come again!
We chose the Bear Lake area because of its proximity to the location of where my nephews grad party was held. We really enjoyed the cabin and took advantage of our time in the area to visit other family members that live in Honor.
Charming property, exactly as described. Quaint and compact but with all the amenities you need. Everything was clean and well cared for. A perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some quiet!
Ray and Kate were dream hosts. The property is quiet and relaxed. The boys loved exploring the trails around the property and playing with the dogs. At night we laid out on the dock watching the stars, even seeing a clear Milky Way. Fresh towels daily too! We had a quick and easy trip to Manistee for salmon fishing and then hiking in the national forest. Can’t wait till the next stay.
A great weekend with the family! A lovely time with great hosts! Everything thing we needed for a relaxing weekend. The fire pit was awesome. The house was immaculate and cozy! We will be back to stay again!
This is exactly the atmosphere and experience we were looking for for our little family getaway. The hosts were wonderful, The Shed was the coolest, and honestly we can’t wait to plan our next stay.
