The home was perfect for my family's stay in San Antonio. Walking distance to San Antonio River hiking trail, restaurants and breweries. Great central location making anything in the city an easy 15 min drive with close freeway access. The host responded to any and all inquiries we had and the home accomodated our pets well with the fully enclosed yard.
Great VRBO. The space was super comfortable for six (including a toddler) and the furnishings were top-notch. Host was responsive and had no issues. Neighborhood was super walkable. Train tracks were relatively close but we did not hear a thing indoors. 10/10!
We had a great stay overall and really enjoyed the home. It’s clear the house has been very nicely renovated—the updates are modern and well done, which we really appreciated. The location is awesome as well—just a few miles from The Pearl and the Riverwalk, making it very convenient for everything we wanted to do-though it is easier to drive to these locations since walking would require crossing busy streets with not a lot of sidewalks, but it's still doable. The host, Emily, was also very easy to communicate with and checked in on us during our stay, which we appreciated. There are just a few small things that could make the experience even better. We noticed a couple of cleaning details that may have been overlooked between guests, and a few minor maintenance items (like a lamp not working and some confusion with the TV setup). Nothing that is a deal breaker at all and all easily remedied. One thing to note for future guests: there are exterior cameras (front and back porch, as well as a Ring doorbell) that were not mentioned in the listing, so just something to be aware of as it took us off guard a little. That said, none of it took away from our overall stay. The neighbors are very nice and always waving and there are people walking with their dogs during the day. We really liked that we could bring our pup with us too! Also, the ice-cream truck drives by daily and that was fun to see. We’d definitely consider staying here again.

About the host
Hosted by Emily Snider
Born and raised in San Antonio, I still call the city home where I enjoy spending time with family, building/creating things, and planning my next travels. I consider myself cosmopolitan, a wanderer of the world, and a free spirit. I have a hunger for new experiences, sharing them with others, and making a difference big or small.
Why they chose this property
Southtown is unique and special in the fact that you're in a trendy, urban, and gentrifying neighborhood in the middle of San Antonio. Each home and street is so unique, with natives originally from San Antonio, or new residents flocking to the neighborhood for the active and upbeat lifestyle it provides. Between the walking trails along the river, mix of architecture in the neighborhood, bars, restaurants, live music, it's sure to excite your senses.
What makes this property unique
I have completely renovated every inch of my 1930's craftsman bungalow, putting intention and attention into every detail. Each space is cozy and unique, highlighting the magnificent and warm open kitchen all the way into the master bathroom with 12' ceilings, a rain head shower, soaking tub, and wet room.
There are thoughtful touches throughout the home from art and photography from my travels around the world, to high end towels, linens, and mattresses in every room. With an open and inviting floor plan, the idea was to bring people and friends together.
The backyard provides a private, ambient, and intimate oasis with a large deck, dining table, and outdoor fire pit– pulling away from the bungalow craftsman exterior theme from the front of the home. You'll truly feel like you're being transported between two worlds.
