The house was beautiful, the views were stunning, and the projector room was fun. My son and I really enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the river. Overall it was a great stay, and recommend it to anyone.

I’m really glad you enjoyed the views of the river and took advantage of the projector room and porch!
Great location, timely communications from host. Even a Christmas tree for our family gathering. It was just right, enjoying a shared movie and room for my loved ones.
The house was perfect for our family gathering! We had our Thanksgiving meal there for 12 people. The host was super helpful and responsive. There was a big snowstorm while we were there which was a lot of fun! The host offered to come over and shovel the driveway for us but we didn’t need them to. We look forward to staying here in the summer and swimming in the river. The river is beautiful!
We had a mostly great stay here! The only issue we had was the enclosed patio. It was pretty musty and we were a bit concerned about the black spots on the ceiling in there. So that’s unfortunate as we were hoping to utilize that space frequently during our stay.Other than that, we had a wonderful stay! Everything was as described!
We spent the majority of our time outside at the fire pit, but the property is excellent! We had a great weekend and I would recommend this place highly.

We had a wonderful time staying at your place! It was clean, comfortable, and charming. This is a fantastic place to rest, enjoy the wildlife and birds, as well as close to shopping, places to dine and parks to explore.

We are glad you enjoyed the house, the peacefulness, and the proximity to local attractions!
We stayed here June 2-6, 2025 during our kids' sports competition. The house has everything you need for your stay. It was very clean and tidy when we arrived. The backyard by the river is awesome for relaxing and grilling after a long day at the field. The kids loved the game room upstairs to unwind. The upstairs rooms had portable ac units in each room so you could set the temp to your preference. Plenty of room for our family of 4 one teenager and one almost teenager. Could easily accommodate a larger family or 2 families. The host is great and very responsive to communication.
There were 7 adult women, we loved the 4 season room with veiw of the river. Perfect place for esrly morning coffee...
The house was very comfortable, layout is a little different, but we also loved the rec room for movie night.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay and took advantage of the sunroom and amazing view of the river!
Wonderful property for a large family. We had 4 kids and there was plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and have privacy. The view of the river was beautiful and we even did some fishing off the bank. The location is very private with only one neighbor. It was very hot weather during our stay but the additional a/c units kept it sufficiently cool. The projector room was a huge hit with the teens. The shared living room space was cozy.Plenty of space in the kitchen for cooking large meals. The washer and dryer held large loads so we were able to keep up. The location is perfect access to get on major roads to get to different areas in Cedar Falls and Waterloo.Host answered any and all questions very quickly and was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again if we needed something in the area!
Property was clean and as advertised. Nice fire ring area. Quiet neighborhood! Communication from host was good and provided us with all information needed. Was also prompt communication. Teens loved the projector in the upper game room!

We are very happy you enjoy the house and the quiet neighborhood!
The house is OK however I would not recommend it for people with small children or older adults as there are many steps and different levels to the house which are trip hazards. However, the location was very nice right on the river.
The home is exactly as shown. The location on the river is great. Its peaceful. The neighbors great white Pyrenees Joey stopped by. He was so sweet! We watched the geese, ducks, a woodchuck ran acroos the yard. Birds including a cardinal and every kind of woodpecker. There is one main floor bedroom for grandma and grandpa. We appreciated that! Upstairs was amazing for the kids and family. You will enjoy this little peice of heaven!!

We are glad you enjoyed your stay and were able to see some wildlife!
This was a super cool place. The upstairs room with projector was the highlight. The location was supreme for this area (The river in the back yard plus its on a dead end road and crops across the street). Why 4 stars not 5? Easy fix in my view. Floors were filthy the moment we walked in. My sons feet were black within 5 minutes. The stairs seemed to be an issue from previos reviews and description - but they were BAD. Luckily, we're a family of able bodied people...But even we struggled. It seriously looks like it can be fixed easily!!! Just do it! The price would be worth it then. It also would have been nice to have a cup of coffee there to wake up to on the house. JMO

We are glad you enjoyed your stay! We are sorry you didn’t have a full 5 star experience. We do have professional cleaners clean after every stay, so I’m shocked that the floors were filthy since they get mopped every time. As far as the stairs go, we do warn that they are a bit tricky. There really isn’t much we can do with the design and layout of the steps. We added carpet treads for more traction and there is a railing.
We do provide a coffee maker and filters. We ask guests to bring their own coffee because in the past we have provided coffee but it either all gets taken by guests or guests complain there aren’t enough options. We will take this into consideration though. Thank you!
There were 7 of us which stayed 4 nights here. We all loved where this home is located, the large dining room, bedroom on lower floor and especially the enclosed room off the back of house which faced the river! (We all spent a lot of time in this room)
There were a few safety issues which concerned us! At the top of stairs to bedrooms/media room there is a small landing which has a door when open blocks the hand railing for first couple feet! (Perhaps put a railing on both sides of door or door should open opposite of what it does) Bathroom on lower floor had a tub/shower but no hand holds for getting in/out for us "older generation" this was a huge safety concern!
I do want to say again that even with these concerns we al LOVED staying here together!

We are glad you enjoyed the sunroom and location of the property! We do not advertise as a handicap accessible property, thus we do not have hand rails in the bathroom. We did send pictures of the steps in the house prior to the stay, but will continue to work on making things more accessible for those who can’t get around as easily. Thanks again for staying with us!
