About the host
Hosted by Caitlin Miller
I’m a Celtic mutt with one foot in the new world and the other in the old. Being a dual national, I’m able to bridge both worlds. This makes me an ideal host for Americans visiting Ireland for the first time, whether for business or pleasure.
Why they chose this property
My parents purchased this field from a farmer 50 years ago, then built our family home. It’s hard to believe you’re just 12 minutes from anywhere in Athlone while immersed in the beautiful Irish countryside. A short distance from our front gates lies a stone marking the geographical centre of Ireland. The house is halfway between Dublin and Galway. This makes it the perfect base for exploring the four corners of Ireland—or the perfect pit-stop as you’re passing through.
