Rent a 2-bedroom apartment in a private fenced property villa with incredible views, and watch the sunset from one of the most beautiful sunset locations you have ever seen from the top of a sugar mill built on the property, and sitting in a Jacuzzi...
Villa is located on the West end of the island, 2 miles from Frederiksted, minutes from the best beaches on the island.
The apartment accommodates a sliding door on the porch for outside dining and grill cooking with a table for 6 people. Inside are 2 bedrooms, one with a king, a second with a queen-sized bed, one and a half bathrooms, and a living room with a queen-sized sofa bed. This means the apartment can accommodate 5 people. Fully equipped kitchen, no hot water in the kitchen sink, side-by-side refrigerator, microwave, cafe maker, toaster, propane gas stove, 3 gallons of drinking water, in a walking closet are plenty of towels, beach towels, extra bed sheets, and blankets.
Cooling equipment: 4 ceiling fans, 4 floor fans, 9,000. BTU ceiling AC unit in the living room, 3,500. BTU portable AC unit in the walking closet. Is everybody's choice to use what they want; some customers are allergic to AC, and some to fans.
If you like really cool, you need to have Central AC save the trouble and go to the hotel.
Guests have access to the pool, Jacuzzi, internet, Smart TV, and a washing machine, but no dryer.
The owner is an experienced scuba diver and can recommend the best local dive sites, as scuba divers are available with diving weights.
There are many fruit trees on the property, and guests may eat what they find, but ask the owner first.
On the property are two friendly dobermans, as members of the family, ready to have company, play, and provide 24-hour security around the fenced property. Anybody who doesn't like dogs, has allergies, or any other
problems, please go somewhere else. The dog will not be chained or put in the shelter.

The accommodations were as described and was perfect for our needs. Miro is a fantastic host and very gracious (welcome drinks at his bar upstairs) It was a pleasure to have the company of Lola and Toro (Dobermans) during our stay.

Miro was the BEST host! Our flight was delayed a day because the airspace to all of the Caribbean was closed. We lost our rental car and Miro saved the day!! We were told there were no cars available on the island....but he knew a guy. We drove all over the island in our week stay to see as much as we could squeeze in. We always made it back to Miro's place for the best sunset views. The dogs were very sweet and protective, we felt very safe as Miro has a gate at the end of the driveway. This place is close to beaches, restaurants, bars, and markets. It's clean, well stocked, and cozy. It is not a five star resort, but it is a 10/10 for our kind of traveling, and I'm so glad I was able to find and rent from Miro. I will never forget this place as long as I live!! Please enjoy this beautiful island and all it's culture and stay here to make a memory forever.

This almost hilltop house offers breathtaking views of the ocean. The home itself is full of charm and character.Our host, originally from the Czech Republic, was incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. His hospitality made the stay feel very personal. Two gentle Dobermans added a special touch to the experience. They were affectionate, well-behaved, and made the stay feels even more comforting and warm.If you’re looking for more than just a vacation - this is the place. I left with unforgettable memories and a full heart.

The owner made us feel welcomed and respected our privacy at the same time. He provided information and was a treasure with his knowledge. He and his sister were helpful and friendly. His place is amazing and the work he put into his place shows in all the magic that is there. From fruit trees to pool the place has hidden nooks. The dogs are nice though a little afraid of people. If you are gentle with them they warm up to you. This is a great place to stay on the west side. Thanks Miro.

Comfortable apartment and beautiful views

The apartment was comfortable and Miro was a very good host. The view of the ocean from our private porch was awesome! And the view of the ocean and the village of Fredericksted from the pool deck was just wonderful!

Unique experience

This isn’t your cookie cutter hotel. It’s very eclectic with gardens, pool, hot tub, castle tower and even a secret speakeasy. The dog on the property was super sweet. Highly recommend.

Awesome.

Miro's property is amazing. Scenic views, pool, hot tub, close to restaurants and some of the most amazing beaches, close to tide pools, and the lighthouse. He is very upfront about his dogs, which are great! The apartment was perfect for 2 of us, but there is definitely room for more. He is friendly, accommodating, and has great recommendations about things to do while visiting this beautiful island.

St. Croix vacation

This was the perfect location for our vacation. Our adult children enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We enjoyed the relaxing location and the ability to watch the sunset from the hilltop. Miro invited us in for drinks and showed us some of the amazing metal and woodworking that he had done on his property. He is always working to make his place better, but it just takes time. We enjoyed our stay and Miro was a great host. In addition, his two dogs made us feel at home. We hope to be back some day.

Just beautiful

An amazing and unique property . Spectacular views. Owner is on site. Very responsive. Pool on second level. Hot tub on the third level. The views just get better. Our host was an excellent bartender. His bar is a beautiful example of his woodworking skills that are on display throughout the property. Will certainly return here on our next visit to St Croix.

The property is beautiful. Miro is a gracious host and doesn't intrude. The view from the pool is spectacular. My only complaint is that there is no central AC. There is a small unit to cool the bedrooms, but it doesn't work very well. This is not likely a problem in the winter months, but it made for some hot conditions.

DO NOT BOOK! The only thing worse than going to gross place with dogs that will quite possibly maim you or your children is that VRBO continues to allow their “customers” VACATIONS & lives to be ruined. Read ALL the negative reviews!! VRBO is the most shameful entity ever. Lie after lie about refunding us

Amazing stay at an amazing property

The rental was exactly as advertised and exceeded our expectations. Miro, the host, does live on property, so we were a bit worried about privacy, but staying here we felt like we had the entire property to ourselves. Miro was easy to find when we had questions but we hardly noticed that we were not alone. The dogs were so friendly and we felt extremely safe here. The views from all different parts of the property are amazing and the fruit everywhere was delicious and plentiful. The apartment was very well stocked and comfortable. The air conditioner kept the whole place cool all night and the breeze comes right through the place during the day with the door and windows open. This is a very unique property and home. We are so glad we stayed here and will definitely be back.

PERFECT!

We had a great stay. We had never been to St Croix and didn't know exactly what to expect. When we arrived at the Villa we felt it was perfect for us. We went wanting to dive a lot and that's what we got. Miro gave us all the info we needed and took us to a few of his favorite spots. It was great. Miro even speared a good sized yellow tail that we had for dinner. The island is a good place to relax, and Miros property is a great place to stay , not to mention he's there to give good input and information for anything you'd like to do there. Thank you very much Miro! Ali and I loved diving with you and appreciate the hospitality. I look forward to our next visit! Cheers!

House with a view and friendly dogs

My boyfriend and I came to St Croix for a relaxing beach vacation and Miro's place was just what we were looking for. The apartment has everything you need with 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen. There is a great pool with a view overlooking the little town and out to the water. At night its quiet and so dark that the stars take over the sky. It's so close to several great beaches around Frederiksted and to the rainforest. Miro had lots of info on things to see, places to eat, and shops to go to. There are 3 dobermans on the property that may look intimidating but they are all as sweet as anything. They will instantly become your best friend, especially the biggest one. Just think of them as added security and your own personal greeters. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to visit and explore the island on their own.

My best friend & I took this trip to St. Croix. We had another rental booked on the north side of the island & found out we would not be able to use the beach due to sargassum (really bad and stinky seaweed) just a few days prior to leaving. We are so happy we found Miro's 2 BR apt at the last minute! It was so beautiful at the top of a mountain. We had the best of both, the rainforest & the beach just minutes away. Miro, his sister (Jerika), (his dogs) Toro and Lola were the best hosts you could ask for. We got the grand tour when we arrived! Toro and Lola are the sweetest dogs ever & protect the property so you always feel safe. Miro's place is very unique with gorgeous woodwork that he built throughout his property. We had a beautiful mountain top view with a pool & hot tub to use anytime we wanted. He served us cocktails at his bar as he told us all about his home & how he decided to move to St. Croix years ago. They made fresh smoothies with rum & brought them out to the pool where we enjoyed the view & conversation. Delicious fresh fruit straight from the trees on his property. They gave us the grand tour of the island where we stopped along the way to see the sites of St. Croix. The weather was perfect for the 5 days we were there. Miro, we can't thank you enough for your hospitality & look forward to visiting again! We hope to stay with you, if you will have us back!! Little bit of paradise

Beautiful home that is well taken care of and clean. The backyard was absolutely beautiful. In addition to the wonderful pool, there are lounge chairs, and an outdoor dining area. The space was so beautiful and relaxing! The owner was responsive and helpful. Something not pictured that may help future renters, there is a locked gate and two beautiful, lovely very playful Dobermans guarding the property and at the same time making nice company. The rum swizzle that was Miro’s recipe was better than any we had on the island! We loved everything about the property! The owner is nearby in case you need something and is so kind and friendly. You can hear from him so many stories about Europe and his 20+ years on this island. The apartment had the feel of home. You have everything you need to cook your meals if you would like. Definitely next vacation will be there! A+++++

Not able to cool down

Miro is a gracious host along with his 2 dogs who were well trained. The location is absolutely beautiful with amazing views. The property is a bit cluttered with old saved items. The pool is nice! The apartment does not have air conditioning, but has an air cooler that is unable to manage the 2 bedrooms. We were there in June and it's hot; we were never able to have a cool space. We had to leave after 2 of our 5 day reservation due to the heat and health issues of my elderly parents. Additionally, we did see several critters running about the kitchen area; making it obvious why there was roach spray on the counter.

Dog poo, termites, and mold

Property owner is a very rude hoarder too old to clean all the dog ish up not all his belongnings….property is a liability/security risk and this is an old man who hits on any single female. Gross. Vrbo and the owner are terrible to deal with. After puking all night from heat exhaustion had to go to another property with more AC, no one’s fault but the weather yet request for refund days 2-7 denied and I was called an alcoholic because “I looked hungover” I guess to a drunk who doesn’t understand anything medical. Cheers to your next life, may you be reincarnated into a dung beetle!

Rustic Island living

This property is great for those looking for a getaway with amazing views and pool. About a mile away from the town square. After a few wrong turns we made it up there winding path up a hill to the property. Miro took us on a quick tour of his estate and finished with a toast to having made it and to having a great stay. Since he’s kind of off the beaten path we needed to be conscious of power usage, but that wasn’t too difficult. Worst part was battle with bugs; so many mosquitos and spiders targeted me. My friends weren’t as bitten as I was. Also, it’s best to keep counter tops clean at night. The dogs were friendly, especially Toro. Miro’s place is a good location if you’re looking to relax. The pool and two hot tubs are great additions. Finally, be aware that you are in a wooded area and drive carefully. The wildlife will thank you.

Beware

The outside property was dirty and unkept. Smelled of dog pee everywhere. Our greeting was owner sweeping dried dog poop out of driveway before we could even enter. Now, to leave the property, I must step out of car and walk through dog poop crumbles and track everywhere. In flip flops... nope.The hot tub water was brown. The apartment was dirty, no hot water in kitchen, outlets exposed, air conditioner did not work in living room. Everything is so old and dirty. The infestation of centipedes (hundreds) was just too much. It did not matter where you walked, there was junk and lack of care. I was looking for a fun, quirky stay, not expecting perfection, but I do expect a certain level of cleanliness. Let me tell you, I have had some crazy travels, but this was not safe, envirmentally or physically...also checked and appears that this property is not licensed to operate as a short or long term rental, rendering any insurance void. This is very hard to write, as this is someones home and I do not like conflict or care to engage in insults. I had just traveled from Oregon, and not my first time here. Not a rookie traveler. The owner did not want to refund me and I ended up going through my credit card. We had to pay for a hotel room first night, lost groceries, we had no where store them. The extra money put out and irritation was not ok.

Is it time to go back yet???

Wow. Who would have believed this little gem could be as good as it seemed in the listing? I seriously can't wait to return. Miro is a most gracious host & I feel so lucky that he has opened up his incredible home & beautiful property for people to share. For starters, the location is fantastic. The West side of St. Croix is, in MY opinion, simply the BEST! His place is just up the road from the main town of Frederiksted, so you are very close to all sorts of places to eat & drink, as well as some of the nicest beaches I found on the Island. I had never been to St. Croix before, & actually made my decision to visit the Island based on finding this awesome place to rent. Clearly, the price can't be beat & it was just as charming in person as it looked in the pictures. Miro is definitely a Craftsman, who works nearly every day making additions & improvements to his already impressive home. I suppose if you are looking for total seclusion, with absolute peace & quiet, this maybe isn't the perfect place for you. You will definitely see Miro around the place & sometimes hear him working on various projects, but this really wasn't an issue for me at all. He will gladly give you suggestions on the best local places to go & he even won me over to the joys of mango with his delicious home-made Daiquiri. The rental unit itself sits under the main house & is even nicer than the pictures convey. It is plenty roomy & has everything you could possibly want to be comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with all the tools you might need to make a fabulous meal, with great appliances as well. I'm not even sure where to begin, as far as the grounds go, as they are simply superb. The estate is perched on a hill, overlooking the gorgeous turquoise waters of the West end. The view from the pool is just amazing & everywhere you look there is lush plant life. Obviously the Hot Tub with it's incredible view is a perk as well. Blah, Blah....I could go on all day. I'll just conclude by saying, if you are easy going & like to stay at Unique Places instead of Hotels, you can't go wrong here! Thanks again, Miro...

Miro was very welcoming, greeted us with a tour of property and beverage. The property and views were outstanding and breathtaking. The dogs did there job everytime we came and left, took them a little to get use to us but are friendly good pups. The unit had everything you would have at home.

Wonderful place to stay. The dogs were sweet. Once they got use to us they were eating snacks from our hands. Beautiful views, beautiful property. Miro was very welcoming and kind. Would definitely stay there again!
