Our stay at the cottage was really great, Orestes is an amazing host. The cottage was cozy, clean, and quiet and very dog friendly. Highly recommended!
My girlfriend and I had a lovely stay at this cottage, very cozy in the wintertime with great natural light and lakeside views. Breakfast was excellent, Orestes was very hospitable and kept a very clean place. Loved the fireplace and proximity to nearby Beacon. Would absolutely stay again! Perfect getaway from the city.
We had a great stay while we were going skiing for the weekend. The host made us a beautiful breakfast and made sure everything was comfortable. We plan to come back in the summer!
My boys and I stayed here to be close to a summer camp in the area. The property is beautiful and my boys enjoyed the pool. The house was perfect for us, and the kitchen was fully functional. I cooked every meal and wasn’t missing anything. We enjoyed our stay!
We loved everything about our stay here! We stayed for the weekend with our dog and he loved being outside in the fenced in area. We went on hikes and appreciated the breakfast so so much!! Making a fire every night was also a highlight. The host is so sweet and we look forward to staying here again!
this cottage is perfect in so many ways. the kitchen has all your needs with a convection oven. View is amazing and so is the very kind host. Cant wait to return.
This is a really cute cottage, nicely decorated and in a beautiful location. The pool is very clean, the views are fantastic, and it’s a nice quiet neighborhood. The real star is Orestes, who is a really friendly guy who provides a delicious breakfast on weekends. More like a hotel than a VRBO!
This is as good as it gets! Pictures don’t convey how peaceful, charming, and idyllic this cottage on the lake is.Orestes (and Spot, the Jack Russell terrier!) are the perfect hosts, as well. Friendly, down to earth, and made sure our stay was as good as can be. His weekend breakfasts were delicious, too!We highly recommend staying for a weekend (or longer!) getaway—you will definitely want to return. Five !
This stay really was so spectacular. The host has the best space that has absolutely everything you need down to the little details. Not only was it clean, but its big bright windows overlooking the lake was a dream to wake up to and drink coffee in front of every morning. Everything was fully stocked including the kitchen and bathroom. The host was so welcoming and available even when i texted him to ask how to make a fire in the fireplace(lol). I will definitely be back again and recommend everyone to give this place a try!
I cannot say enough good things about this property. It truly has everything you want. Typically my partner and I like to go out to eat and explore surrounding towns, and while you can also do that at this properly, the cottage and surrounding landscape is so nice that you never need to leave. We took full advantage of the pool, grill, fire pit and surrounding walking trails and still felt like we could have stayed much longer. While the place is great, what makes this place truly great is the owner Orest. He truly goes above and beyond in welcoming you and doing everything to make sure it’s a great stay. He also is a fantastic cook, so do not skip the breakfast! I could go on, but he is truly a special person who cares about those around him and clearly has given so much to his guests and community. Book this place you will not regret it!
Sitting outside the cottage overlooking the reservoir (on other side of road) was superb after being in hectic New York. The bed was comfy but located up a steep, narrow spiral staircase. Small bathroom downstairs. Eclectic furnishings. Very clean. Would recommend seniors opt for house option rather than cottage. Host very pleasant.
Both Orestes’s photos, as well as his descriptive words, were spot on (no pun intended as the kind, warm and welcoming owner of this magnificent property has a canine son named Spot!) when “ painting the picture “ (and that pun was intended as Orestes is a talent artist with some of his beautiful creations displayed throughout the cottage) of the magical bright and cheerful oasis we had the pleasure of staying at recently. The adorable, high ceilings space with a lovely water view, had all the comforts of home and then some. Some design highlights were beautiful, bold white & black tile backsplash and the inverse black & white bathroom floor tile. Also there was a beautiful, small rectangular clear with blue tinted tile edging around the base of the semicircular shower and wash basin - so pretty. The bathroom walls were tiled with small, white, rectangular subway tiles. They fit the space so well. The homemade deeeelicious breakfasts rivaled any 5 star restaurant. We also were loving the bar table allowing an unobstructed view of the sparkling reservoir/lake with custom spaces to secure bar stools beneath. We, and that includes our two cockapoo sibs , loved our get-a-way and thank both Orestes and Mother Nature (great weather) for allowing us to have a relaxing respite from our daily routine.
