The Alexander is part of the multi million pound Hamilton Development dating back to 1713 and in 1986 was made a Grade 2 listed building. It’s location is superbly situated for those wishing to explore the South Lake District, Yorkshire Dales & Lancashire. However, on the doorstep there are some incredible walks and lovely cafes & town’s worth a visit! Close by is the village Scorton, with a wonderful 3 mile walk around Nicky Nook show casing views of the Forest of Bowland, Heysham & Morecambe. This walk ends by two very well-known cafes, The Apple Store & The Barn. Both are worth a visit during your time here! The market town of Garstang is just down the road and offers a variety of shops, cafés and pubs, as well as a weekly Thursday market. The historic city of Lancaster boasts a wealth of restaurants, shops and pubs; or head up to the castle for stories of the famous Pendle witches. The area is perfect for those wishing to enjoy the fresh country air and explore the local footpaths or cycle the quite country lanes.
