We had a wonderful time at this property..its not on the lake which I thought it was at first..but its so close to the lake the it was actually perfect. It is extremely private. The host was absolutely the sweetest person ever. We was able to shoot off fireworks. It was the perfect private rental. Family friendly..a large porch to sit on.

Peaceful Retreat

This property is very peaceful and serene. The little cabin was clean and provided all essentials. When we weren't resting, my mom and I enjoyed visiting the Flat Rock park that was very close by and free to visit. We plan on visiting this cabin and Lake Wedowee again.

Mackenzie was a great host and made sure she replied back to every message and was always very nice. I let her know that it would be very late when I arrived and she made sure to go leave the porch light and an inside light on as well so we could see to get in. It was a nice and peaceful stay. Will be staying again in the future.

The host was amazing with great communication throughout the booking process, before check-in, during the stay and also at check out. The location is magnificent! Remote , quiet and right on the water ! You cannot ask for a better stop. The house was perfect , clean , and stocked and ready for memories. The sweetest binder is set up for you when you arrive, all the best spots to eat and grab ice cream, directions around this small town, and most importantly a place for guests to write a message about their stay. My 11 year old read every entry from every family so far and was so happy when I told her she could write our entry for us! If you’re looking for peace and quiet in Alabama, everyone should check this place out! We will book again! 10/10

Furniture was uncomfortable and difficult for us to use as seniors. We could hear mice moving around all night. Entire place needs a good cleaning.

I’m sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay. We did have a new cleaner and I would have gladly re-sent her to re-clean the place for you. I wish you would have contacted me. Unfortunately, our sweet little get away is in the woods so mice try and sneak in every once in awhile. Without living there regularly it’s hard to catch but thanks to this comment we are able to rectify the situation. No more sneaky mice! As for the furniture…I will do my best to let any foreseeable seniors staying with us know that it is very low to the ground. Again, I’m sorry you did not enjoy yourselves. Please feel comfortable to reach out to any host you may stay with in the future. Your comfort truly matters to us, and we will do our best to address any and all issues immediately.

Nice weekend spot

Nice and clean. The obly thing is the boat ramp and water are about a quarter mile down the road. Pictures online look like its across the street. But very convenient to everything.

The property was good. Advise to future visitors if you are pulling a boat park in the space provided at the bottom of the hill and disconnect before pulling up to the trailer. Steep hill and no where to turn around. Trailer was very clean and the lake was really nice.

Rustic vibe

The home is very clean and on a private wooded lot , there’s no wi-fi and couldn’t get service but if you’re looking for a quiet woodsy spot it’s great. I had 4 adults and two toddlers and we fit perfect . Overall a great trip ! Owner was very pleasant and helpful to point out some surrounding nature sites . The only other problem we had was it is not on a lake and the pictures posted lead you to believe it is . It is a mobile home on a wooded lot with a steep drive way but if your looking for a quiet unplugged experience it’s perfect .
