Cute quiet retreat, easy to find, and lovely rustic Southwest decor. Great internet access! Watched the stars from the porch. This is an old style farmhouse which is warm and welcoming!
I stayed at the cottage for 3 nights while rockhounding on that edge of the state. It was charming. Compact and thoughtfully designed, equipped and decorated, it was quiet and next to a stream. It was nicely situated for a number of rockhounding locations, and has a nice porch suitable for sorting rocks. And sitting on and having a drink. I very much enjoyed my stay.
We had a wonderful stay! I would suggest to look at it from Google Maps before traveling to it… that way you can get an aerial view of where to turn because it is very easy to miss, especially at night. Maybe having a reflector or a light at the end of the driveway would be cool. The house is very accommodating, there were a lot of pillows and blankets, which was great! And we loved being on so much acres that we didn’t have to worry about staying quiet… And the fact that there is a grill and charcoal provided was fantastic! As long as guess are OK with taking a tub shower and not a stand-up shower. They won’t mind the bathroom. We will definitely be returning again soon.! We have a friend who lives in Clifton. So we’ll be back to visit him again in the near future.
Paid and received confirmation. Got to the house in the middle of nowhere at midnight. Property was double booked. Called the ‘emergency help’ line for Vrbo and was told tough luck you are on your own. We can help you rebook on Tuesday. No mention of a refund. Property owner refunded and I got money back a week later. Slept in my car for a week while working a full time job. Not a nice experience.
