What makes this property unique

In 1940, the Glen Motel was inaugurated by the Nunnelly family, initially operating as a "tourist court" featuring four quaint cabins. Just two years later, responding to growing demand, an additional thirty-one units were added in a contemporary motor court style. In 1955, amidst the rising popularity of motor courts across America, the Jackson family acquired the establishment, transforming it into the Travelier Motel. In 1969, following a span of 14 years, ownership transitioned to the Bentz-Klatt family, ushering in a new era for the motel. Under their stewardship, the establishment underwent a series of transformations, first adopting the name Stardust and later evolving into the Royal 7 Inn. A new chapter unfolded for the motel when the succeeding generation of the Klatt family took the reins of its legacy. Brothers Shiloh and Jacob Klatt rebranded the motel to The Sapphire Motel and have since focused on restoring and reviving its historic past.
