Beach Front Condo in Down Town Location

Blue Bayou is a 9 unit condominium complex situated on one of the most unique beaches in the world. Blue Bayou was build 2004 on an oceanfront cliff looking down into 20’ of deep blue water. Miraculously, in the winter of 2005, a beach quickly appeared over a four month time period. The beach you see in the pictures has some of the cleanest sand and granular ocean floor you will ever experience.
Looking out from the balcony you can enjoy the most diverse scenery of the mountain La Isabella overlooking Puerto Plata, our pool, crystal clean waterfront and beach. Just a stairway down from the pool deck you are surrounded by a little access beach. Blue Bayou has a very private feeling with the tropical landscaping and coconut trees overlooking the cliff. You can also enjoy the casita with a picnic table and a barbeque. Enjoy cooking outside overlooking the ocean and beach.
The two bedroom condo with large balcony makes it possible to take in all the sights mentioned above from your private second floor veranda. You will enjoy beautiful sunsets. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and bathroom with shower. The kitchen, dining room, and living room overlook the balcony with glass windows and no obstruction of the view or sound of the waves.
Sosua is a busy and growing little town. Everything is a two to five minute walk from your doorstep. You’ll find shopping, groceries, street cafes, and restaurants of every nationality with terrific food and atmosphere unique to the international flavor of the many visitors who come to Sosua. There is no car needed here. It’s just a short taxi ride from the airport and you are ready to relax and enjoy a Dominican coffee or a Brugal rum drink all hours of the day and night. If you want to venture out to see the countryside you are centrally located to everything the Dominican Republic has to offer.

Great location! Great ocean views and great breeze

Great location. Condo is right on the beach. Had a couple of issues with the AC and door handle broke but Thomas fixed the issues right away. Great maid service.

Okay, the apartment might not be brand new and, indeed, the kitchen surfaces are a bit worn - yet thanks to the great cleaning lady it is all tidy and hygienic. The stove, fridge and electrical amenities all work well, and I would not want to prepare dinner for 8 people on my holidays, anyway. What more than compensates for these small issues is the location, views and total peace and quiet of the place. You go to sleep with the sound of the waves and wake up with birdsong. Direct access to Playa Alicia for a quick swim in the morning or some volleyball and sunbathing in the afternoon , or you can stay peacefully on your own vast terrace with pool or the apartment’s own spacious balcony with direct sea view. It is only minutes from the town center, many restaurants and bars, and shops for groceries, pharmacies and whatever you may need. Only a quick stroll down to Playa Sosua with many great dive and snorkeling bases like Merlin Dive Center, and many other excursion offers and leisure activities. The communication with Yojeira was most pleasant, she was nearly always available on the shortest notice and helpful, and both the technical and security staff are very kind and efficient. Spent a fantastic four weeks holiday here and will surely be back.

Toutes les armoires de cuisine étaient collantes, les rideaux blancs de la chambre traînent par terre et sont très sales. Nos avons eu droit à des vieux draps tous tachés de longue date et une couverture qui avait l'air d'un lambeau. Le comble étaient les coquerelles sur le comptoir de la cuisine. La vaiselle est sale, j'ai relavé 2 couverts au complet avant de les utiliser. Le siège de la toilette n'est pas fixé... Le seul point positif, la vue sur la mer; époustouflant!coccuisine

Great spot!

The pandemic caused a lot of problems with my trip but the hosts were super flexible and very helpful. Very happy with everything. Great spot! Can't wait to stay again!

Wonderful place

Exactly what we were looking for. Short drive from the airport, right on the beach, and close to everything. Thomas and Yojaira were wonderful. They made everything easy. If we needed anything they took care of it right away. The grounds staff are great, they have security most nights which adds an extra level of comfort. We would defiantly stay here again, it was such an amazing trip, would definitely recommend.

Beautiful place

This is a beautiful very spacious 1BDRM THE VIEW IS GREAT AND BEACH IS BEAUTIFUL. The building is gated and There is a groundscrew there 24-7 so there is always is extra security. Thomas, the building manager, is easily accessible and helpful if u need anything.
