It was a nice and quaint location in an historic building steps from the Christiansted boardwalk. Communication from the host was prompt. It did have a slight smell that maybe was due to the age of the building? There was a dehumidifier supplied which we ran throughout our stay that seemed to help somewhat. The unit was clean and well kept. The grounds were lovely and also well kept. My wife and I would recommend this unit and host.

Good Stay

My husband and I spent 5 nights in St Croix. We enjoyed our stay. The apartment is smallish but fine for us. The porch was a great addition. The location is great. We walked to everything in town. I would give this a 4 1/2 star. We had a minor issue with a hairdryer which was missing but it did get resolved.

4/10 Poor

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Communication
The property itself was lovely, with a comfortable room and an excellent view. Unfortunately, these positives were overshadowed by significant communication and service issues. The check-in process was needlessly frustrating. The keypad lock was badly scratched, and sunlight glare made the codes impossible to see. When I contacted the host for help, he seemed annoyed and was quick to point out that other guests had no issues an irrelevant detail that didn't solve my immediate problem. This pattern continued: during any issue, the host preferred to explain rather than provide direct solutions. Furthermore, the checkout expectations felt unreasonable for a paid stay. Being asked to strip the beds and take out the trash crosses a line from being tidy into performing basic cleaning duties that should be handled by staff. In short, the great space is let down by poor guest support and inconvenient policies.

Perfect for a Couple

We were very happy with the choice to stay here for a 7-night visit to St. Croix. The location is perfect for walking around Christiansted’s downtown and boardwalk areas. The apartment itself is rustic, but everything that you’d want to be modern is: the air conditioning works well, the water pressure is good, having filtered water was extremely valuable to us as to offset the heat. The bed was firm but comfortable, although I was glad I had my travel pillow with me to offset the firmness of the pillows. The unit is part of a larger building, but we only heard people in the other units when they did something unusually loud, like drop something. The grounds are beautifully kept. Access to modern laundry machines was very convenient. My one caution would be that the bathroom is quite narrow. We had no problems with it, but there is about only 12 inches of space between the toilet and the wall that you have to navigate through to reach the shower, and I can think of people in my life that would not have been comfortable with it. Overall, we had a great experience! If we visit again, I wouldn’t even look for other options if this place was available.
