Great family vacation
Spacious, well located condo. Beautiful lake views and easy access to the beach and pool. Plenty of restaurants nearby and downtown TC close by as well. Was an excellent home base for our summer vacation on Lake Michigan. Wife and kids all said they want to come back and stay in the same condo again next summer!
Great Place for a Weekend in Traverse City
We've stayed at the Peninsula Bay Resort in the past and always enjoyed it - this trip was no exception. Everything we needed was there, and although the weather was a little less accommodating than anticipated, we could turn on the fireplace and relax with a glass of wine just the same. The internet access in this unit was quite slow and the T.V. doesn't have any premium channels or access to Netflix so be prepared for that. Also, the exit expectations were quite high given there was a $150 cleaning fee but you are expected to strip the beds, have the towels in the laundry, carry the trash to the dumpster outside, etc. All that said, still a lovely place, facing the bay and very convenient to all that Traverse City area has for tourists.
We enjoyed the spacious condo and everything was very clean.
Thank you for your great review. We hope you will stay with us in the future.

This is our second year at this property. Happy again with the accommodations.
Great views. Condo was clean and set up nicely again.
Peninsula Bay condominiums
Property was comfortable, attractive and well-equipped
The location on the beach here is very nice. It's a nice beach, sandy, and good swimming and the water was warm. The view from the balcony and the condo is nice. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes and flatware, pans etc but absolutely no condiments, no salt, no pepper, no food stuffs of any kind. Many condos I have stayed in before leave coffe filters, salt and peper , tea bags, things like that, but not here. You are instructed to throw absolutely everything away before you leave. The livng room is comfortable, the condo was clean, but on arrival there was an overpowering smell of cleaning solution as in pine sol type, and an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. This dissipated about half way through the week. As a cancer survivor I wasn't very happy having to be exposed at all. The bed in the master was extremely uncomfortable, with a very lumpy pillow top on top of the mattress. The freezer put out a high pitched whine that also kept us up at night, and with the bedroom door cloesed to block it the room was stuffy. Did not sleep well all week, this needs to be addressed. The pool is small and filled with children daily so we did not use it. Although we felt we paid a premium for this condo, and we paid a nonrefundable cleaning fee, the instructions left for us when we arrived warned us to take out all garbage, throw away all food, clean out the refrigerator, strip the beds, do two loads of towels in the wash and run all the dirty dishes in the dishwasher. So I guess the maid comes in and cleans the bathrooms and then smokes until her next condo. Not too happy with that, it is supposed to be a vacation and a cleaning fee had been paid. We felt we did half the cleaning. The road is extremely busy, and although there are sidewalks it's almost impossible to walk to a restuarant. There are no crossovers close by and I almost got hit trying to cross the road. It would be impossible with children, so you will have to drive. The management was responsive when I notified them there was no hair dryer and some of the lights didn't work they sent someone right over with the items.
