Other things to note
This charming 1910s Craftsman has been thoughtfully renovated while maintaining its historic character. As with any older home, you may notice minor quirks such as:

- Sloped or squeaky floors.

- Occasional brief harmless yellow tint to the water if not used for a bit (I haven't noticed since updating all plumbing & filtered water is available in the fridge).

- Harmless ladybugs or boxelder bugs (extremely common in MN).

- Occasional plane noise at times (Sound machines and fans are provided for your comfort).

We have a strict no-party policy - violations will result in immediate removal (I am always happy to discuss any small gatherings before your booking to see if we can accommodate!). We do have exterior security cameras & noise sensors for security purposes.

Finally, please review our cancellation policy prior to booking—we recommend trip insurance. If you cancel after the policy window, we will relist the home and refund only the amount we are able to collect from a successful rebooking.

Totally impressed!

As promised, this home was in a fantastic location (centrally located and easily walkable) AND it has the most high-end finishings of any rental I’ve ever seen. It’s like you’re in a Room and Board/C&B catalog! Furniture and beds were like new and VERY comfortable. The linens, towels, pillows were nicer than the ones we have at home! Brand new washer/dryer. Super kid friendly with things like sippy cups, kid plates/silverware, stroller, etc. Plenty of toys, games and books for kids and adults - even tennis rackets! Kitchen fully stocked, including all the basics like olive oil, condiments, etc. The rooms are huge and the house is very spacious. Host Amber was incredibly accommodating and ready to do anything to make sure our family of 5 had a great stay. Only possible con is only one toilet and it’s on the second floor. Really wasn’t a big issue for us - we would definitely stay here again!

Host profile image
I'm Amber, & I live in Minneapolis with my husband & four kids. In our younger years my husband & I loved to travel. But between kids, COVID, & full time jobs, life became BUSY, & travel was replaced with an unhealthy HGTV obsession, followed by a slightly healthier renovation & decorating obsession. After many home DIY projects, my husband agreed to reno/ decorate rental properties instead (aka, he was sick of the mess at home). And here we are!

Why they chose this property

We absolutely love the Linden Hills neighborhood! It serves a variety of audiences with its unique shops, award winning restaurants, and beautiful lake/ parks. Its extremely walkable and bikeable, and only a short drive to downtown or the airport.

What makes this property unique

This property embraces a wabi-sabi aesthetic, beauty that is "imperfect." It has been lovingly updated while still maintaining its original 1910's charm. The original plaster walls and hardwood floors make the house kid and pet friendly, while updated finishes and furnishings create a welcoming and comfortable environment for everyone. Just entering this sunny home makes me feel happy and relaxed!
