Why Lisa Willingham chose Jefferson
The Willinghams moved to Ashe County in 1977 after getting married and have never left the beautiful mountains. They lived in a wonderful farm house for 30 years and never thought they would leave it, but in 2006 they found their current property and it was love at first sight. They bought the property in the rough, but the transition continues to be amazing!
What makes this Farmhouse unique
The farm has it all. Rolling hills, hardwood forests, a ponds ,creeks, beautiful 2 story barn and above all it is secluded and has a magic all its' own. The primary mountain view of ,The Peak mountain is a part of a state park that will never be developed.

The property is exactly as advertised. The owners are wonderful and the place is amazing! I highly recommend it!!!
We had a wonderful time . We were celebrating our 57 year wedding anniversary.
The cabin was very cozy, had everything we needed. We had to leave earlier than planned because my husband wasn't feeling well , but we would love to go back in the fall when the leaves change colors .
Rustic and amazing farm house experience
We had an amazing stay here. Property and owners exceeded our expectations. Cabin is clean, well furnished and quaint, just perfect. I loved the horses, dogs, goats and all other birds and animals. The dogs were so friendly, we almost brought them home with us. Lisa and Stephen were awesome hosts. Would love to go back any chance we get.
Peaceful and relaxing
Everything is as advertised. My family enjoyed everything on the farm, especially the dogs. Molly even spent one night with us. I think we fed the goats, horses and donkeys three times a day. My child had a blast at the gem mine across the street and we spent two days on the New River. If not out and about we stayed on the porch or in the hammock listening to "babbling brook" as most call it. Would love to return in the near future.
A little slice of Heaven
Perfect country cabin next to babbling creek in a very friendly agriculture tourism setting. The Willinghams go out of their way to ensure a country version of a Ritz Experience.
We loved this place. The owners were friendly and the cabin was perfect. It rained off and on the whole time we were there, and there was no phone connection. We did not mind. We donned our raincoats and walked with the dogs, sat on the porch and talked and relearned to slow down and appreciate all that God has blessed us with. Thanks to Steve and Lisa for providing such a glorious place.
There is a winery , a farm implement museum, a Frisbee golf course, 2 golf courses,3 state park locations and a wonderful new library and playground along with many opportunities to experience the arts.
