This custom lakefront luxury custom home on Rainbow Lake is a hidden treasure for those seeking a refreshing getaway from the stress and busyness of everyday life.

Our mountain home sleeps 9 people. In the upstairs Master Suite there is a king bed, a comfy sitting area beside a gas fireplace. The suite opens up to a private lanai with captivating views overlooking Rainbow Lake. There is a Keurig coffee maker provided for upstairs suite. The Master King Suite has his and her vanity areas, a whirlpool tub, separate shower and walk in closet Bedroom #2, The Downstairs King Master Suite has a unique private bath, his and her vanities, jacuzzi tub and separate shower. It has a glorious view overlooking the lake and outside sitting area. Bedroom #3, The romantic 'French Bedroom' there is a Queen Bed with private Bath. In Bedroom #4 known as the 'Blue Room', there are 2 double beds. All beds have cozy comforters and luxury linens.

The Great Room has a fireplace, Dish TV and a DVD. There is an assortment of movies available. There are games and puzzles for you to enjoy. Free WIFI is provided. It overlooks a beautiful deck, seating area, such garden area overlooking the lake.

The gourmet kitchen comes with everything you need for your stay. The dining area has a large table which seats 8 comfortably and is ideal for playing games. This room has a beautiful view of the lake as well.

You can relax on the back deck and enjoy watching the ducks, eagles, osprey, herrons and other habitat. It is always a delight to watch the eagles and osprey soaring in the sky and then dipping down for their breakfast or dinner. Bring that book you haven't had time to read. Bring your family and friends. This is a great place for a girlfriends' getaway. It is a delight for all. You can kayak around the lake and enjoy the beauty and sereness of nature. There are many hiking trails nearby and other lakes closely like Fools Hollow. There are many lovely antique shops to poke around in the area. In the winter, the Sunrise Ski area is only 35 minutes away. After your invigorating day on the water or the slopes in winter, in the evening you will behold magnificent sunsets. After that, the stars present themselves as dazzling diamonds flung across the night sky - just for you to enjoy!
The deck is a favorite to have morning coffee and meals. We also have a bench on our private dock which is a favorite place to enjoy morning coffee or a glass of wine watching the sunset. The private upstairs portico deck also has magnificant views overlooking the lake.

This is our family home. Smoking is not permitted inside. We rent it out with the expectation that you will care for it as if it belonged to a cherished friend. Our hope is you will have a great time, come away refreshed and will want to return and will recommend it to others.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Strip beds, used towels and bring to laundry room. Start dishwasher ; take all trash to dumpster place inside,(directions in Welcome Letter) Do not leave any trash outside of or next to dumpsters.
Stack all kayaks in garage Check you have all your belongings
Place Garage door openers and keys back as per instructions
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Guests must also agree to comply SHORES Community HOA Rules and Restrictions which will be provided upon booking.

The home is brilliantly designed and laid out with private rooms and bathrooms for everyone. Everything was elegantly decorated but also friendly to live in. The dock, lake access, furnished kayaks, and proximity to pickle ball and basketball courts make it perfect for all ages. The views, oh my goodness, the views daytime and nightime were amazing. This is a place we all would love to come back to.

We stay here every year and it is such an amazing place and the owner is so sweet and caring. The deck is large and open to the lake, the dinning room is large which is great for dinners and game night. They have kayaks and bikes which are always fun. The master with the lake view is perfect to feel relaxed every morning. We are very thankful the owner is such a great person and easy to work with.

We have had a home in the White Mountains since our children were small. Now we are thrilled to have 3 generations come up and enjoy the winter and summer fun. This was the year Papa taught our 2 oldest grandsons (9 and 5) to ski. What fun they had on their winter ski trips and pizza parties. Next year grand daughters are coming to join the fun. All the grandchildren love the special summer trips, being out on the lake and catching fish. Our little city gandchildren love to learn about nature, hike, fish, look for eagles and exciting nature scavenger hunts.

Why they chose this property

This is a beautiful area. We wanted to be on a lake and yet near a town. This place is perfect! It is not far from Sunrise Ski area and was especially nice when my husband was on the Ski Patrol. He still skis every chance he gets! Many areas to hike We built this home in 1999 and completely gutted and remodeled it a few years ago.

What makes this property unique

Time to kick back, R & R, We can be as busy as we want with activities or can veg out and read sitting by the fire in the winter enjoying the winter wonderland. In the summer we hike, kayak, fish, and spend lots of time on the deck enjoying sunrises and sunsets. In every season, there is always something to view on the lake. There are many kinds of ducks, swans, Canadian geese. We see eagles, heron, many osprey, owls, little foxes, and sometimes those darn beavers who love our trees along the lake. We are close to restaurants, grocery stores, movie theater, We love the special times here with our children, grandchildren and friends year round. In summer there is fun on the lake and in winter, skiing and snow activities. Holidays are always a special delight here.
