We had a wonderful stay in Marblehead. So exciting to stay in a home built in 1725 but has all modern day amenities. We wanted to stay near Salem but ended up spending more time in Marblehead. Great history, views, shops, restaurants and locals. Our home had everything we needed and was very clean. It's walking distance to town and has nice outdoor space too. Highly recommend!!!
My family and I really enjoyed our short stay. The home was beautifully decorated and immaculate with all the necessities and comforts of your own home. Charming and quiet neighborhood. The host was quick to reply and very pleasant. Close to Salem. Would love to stay again in the future!
We had a wonderful stay in Marblehead. The home is lovely, clean, and comfortable and in the perfect location to explore town. The house has some wonderful historic characteristics and architecture, but also all the modern touches. We’ll definitely be back!
The property was lovely. The area was so quiet and beautiful. No issues what so ever. I would definitely love to stay at this property again. Thank you to my hosts.
We enjoyed our stay. The owners were very easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed. The house is very neat & clean with lovely decor and furnishings. The kitchen is well equipped. Great location! Marblehead is a quant town with great shopping and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.
What a great home! The house was in the perfect location, and we didn’t have to use our car for food, groceries, or to get to local attractions. The house surprised me (in a good way): it was nicely updated but retained much of the old charm. The kids loved the house, and we had no issues with parking in the driveway or in the street. I would highly recommend this house to anyone.
Also, the host communicated with me well in advance of our stay and during, including great recommendations which were spot on.
I look forward to our next trip to Marblehead, and would stay here again if the hosts would have us.
Our stay here was delightful! It was the perfect location for walking to the historic section of Marblehead, numerous coffee shops, restaurants and museums. Our hosts kindly provided us with suggestions for walks, restaurants and some "must sees". The house was so comfortable and so special with the charm only and older house can give. A great get-away!
We had such a wonderful weekend in the Marblehead/Salem area, partly due to staying in this beautiful historic home. The home has amazing charm and is in the heart of the historic Marblehead district. We walked everywhere- down to Marblehead Harbor and Fort Sewall, with beautiful shops, bakeries, and restaurants along the way. Also loved that there is a grocery store and ice cream shop nearby too. Salem is a quick 15 min drive which was super convenient. We had one issue, but Denise and Larry were such gracious hosts and it was resolved quickly. What a gift to own this piece of history and their desire to share it is apparent. Would 1000000% recommend.
We had a great stay at this charming historic home. The location was super, right in the middle of town. The staircase to the bedrooms was a little tricky but also added to the historic charm. We’d definitely stay here again!
Beautiful Marblehead home — great location near Abbott Hall and perfect size for two couples. Everything we needed — prompt/effective communication from property owners along with easy check in/checkout. Neighbors were lovely too. Thanks for a great place to call home for a long family weekend.
My wife, sister and I spent a few nights here & the location was really good. The space was clean and had all the amenities with the kitchen and baths updated. The only hiccup was the stairway, they were tight and winding...if you are older, you might find this a problem but we left our larger suitcases downstairs & that worked for us. Larry's communications were super and we were able to find all the best spots to visit & eat.
Loved this old historic home and the town. Had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Would love to come back again! Everything was walkable. Charming town. Gorgeous ocean all around. In love!
The property was beautiful and in the heart of old town Marblehead. Just a block from Abbot Hall with the Spirit of '76 portrait, history flows in every direction. Close to shops, restaurants and the harbor, the location is ideal. While the home photo from the front shows only two floors, the spacious bedrooms and baths are on floors two and three. The hosts were responsive and the home was clean and ready for our arrival.

Liked: Cleanliness, communication, location
Disliked: Check-in, listing accuracy
Relatively New Listing
Owner was nice and got us a pack and play, however the stairs are a nightmare for children. The check in process was horrific with no clear instructions - hope this gets fixed. Area is nice, but the listing lacked a floorplan and clear layout of what was actually there. Kitchen is a bit small to prep meals if your into that. The parking needs to be better suited for renters as the gate is quite narrow while entering. Good stuff is the unit provided everything needed for stay and the place was clean and in a convenient location on a quiet block with friendly people nearby. Good for couple or small group.
We have summered in Marblehead for the past 25 years and love visiting our favorite old town. As first time guests, the hosts went above and beyond to make it comfortable for us. The bedrooms were nice and cozy and had good A/C for the summer heat. Kitchen was very well appointed and all was nice and clean. Very accessible to town with Abbot Hall across the street basically and a short 5 minute walk to Crocker Park. We’d to stay here again for future visits!
