Old family house, Victorian style with mansard roof has all modern conveniences. Kitchen is fully equipped. Living room has a high ceiling and floor to ceiling windows. Large wrap-around porch is furnished with wicker and has sweeping views of Ipswich Bay with fantastic sunsets...views as far as the eye can see from the mouth of the Essex River up to the coast of Maine. There are 2 private beaches, 2 tennis courts and acres to roam. Great area for canoes, kayaks, and scuba diving. acres to roam for children of all ages.

Fully equipped kitchen- large wrap-around porch furnished with wicker. Spectacular sweeping views of Ipswich Bay and fantastic sunsets - 2 private beaches- 2 tennis courts and acres to roam. Wonderful area for kayaking, canoeing or any kind of boating. There is also much fishing done in the area.

Comfort, exquisite views, active summer days

The Cardinal House is stunning. It feels like a museum and holds many stories of Massachusetts history. The house sits on top of a hill with stunning ocean views all around. Long sloping lawns spread out down the hill toward 2 calm, child perfect beaches. A great place for friends and family to visit and enjoy beautiful Cape Ann. The only concern for me, is that perhaps children should be a bit older (ours were 6 and 8) — the house is so special that adults felt they had to say “careful” too often. We had everything we needed and hosts helpful and friendly.
