About this property

The Beauty Park Getaway

Literally doors from Frankston Hospital opposite Beauty Park, and only a 10 minute walk to Frankston Beach and the train station, our relaxing urban getaway is a smart, comfortable place to stay with a side of beachside fun. Surrounded by greenery with a glorious north facing courtyard to soak up the sunshine, you will enjoy hearing the happy sounds from the park, catching the sea breeze or simply enjoying this 2 bedroom getaway for work, study, convenience, respite or a beachside holiday. The Beauty Park Getaway is a private escape with glorious park views of the undulating lawns of this celebrated park. With the Little Beauty Market at the park once a month, and fitness groups training regularly, there's a vibrant community feel about the area. Our place has a relaxing living and dining area, 2 bedrooms with plenty of fitted storage, a well-equipped kitchen (dishwasher, electric hotplate and oven, microwave, fridge, rice cooker, blender, pots & pans) and a combined bathroom/laundry with a separate toilet. There are two courtyards - one which is north facing with 2 delightful timber outdoor settings which you can combine or keep separate (4 chairs, 2 tables), or a place to sit on the steps and enjoy the sunshine. Plus there is a secure utility courtyard which has a clothesline and a doggie door from the unit so your dog can have easy secure access to some fresh air. We also have some pet food bowls, giving you one less thing to worry about for your furry friend. We've made the open plan living and dining area comfortable with a 2-seater couch and a club style arm chair sitting in front of the 50inch smart TV. You can add your own streaming services so you feel just at home. There's a 4 seater bistro style dining setting for your meals. There is parking for 2 cars (car spots labelled '1'), making it a cheaper option for those who love a 5-10-minute walk, ensuring you don't have to pay parking fees at either Frankston Hospital or the beach. Frankston is a bustling beachside suburb that comes with an amazing lifestyle. Walk along the park, passed Frankston Football Club's football (Kinetic Oval) oval and down to the beach with beautiful foreshore parks and playgrounds, fabulous coffee vans and food trucks at Oliver's Hill boat ramp, and magical sunsets. Walk up over the other side of Beauty Park, and you'll be in the heart of Frankston's CBD where you could attend a fabulous concert at the Frankston Arts Centre, catch a movie at Hoyts Frankston or enjoy the plethora of food options in the local streets. Frankston train station is only a 10 minute walk away, and Bayside Frankston Shopping Centre is just as close, where you could spend endless hours checking out the shops. Frankston Hospital is still open while a large section is under construction and has an emergency department (only 500 metres to the door), plus it's the region's biggest maternity ward. Frankston Private Hospital is only a few metres passed Frankston Hospital. Monash University Peninsula is on the other side of the hospital, making it accessible for professors, researchers, students and parents of students. Chisholm Institute is close to Frankston Station, and next to that, for some fitness, you can enjoy the facilities at PARC (Peninsula Aquatic and Recreation Centre) with its pools, gym, sauna, steam room, spa and childcare centre. If you're interested in a romantic night out, try Waves on the Beach for beachfront dining, or maybe grab some fish n chips from Cripps van at Oliver Hill boat ramp. The gateway to the Mornington Peninsula, this is a beautifully central location, highly accessible to everything you need, plus less than an hour to the wineries, produce farms, stunning beaches, fine dining, Mornington Racecourse evens and regional markets that make the Mornington Peninsula one of the world's most desirable locations.

About the host

We live on the Mornington Peninsula in the heart of the produce and equestrian country. We chose where we live, as we are equal distance to both Western Port Bay and Port Phillip Bay so we can enjoy each of the bays for fishing, swimming, diving, jet-skiing or just taking the dogs for a walk. We love the outdoors, and we like to know that our guests can stay at our getaway, so they too can enjoy the beautiful beach life of Frankston at the top end of the peninsula. We also enjoy travelling including road trips, animals, family and getting in the garden.
We like hosting because we rather give a homely experience to people who need to be away from home. Our stay isn't always a 'holiday destination.' It's a work-stay, a carer's-stay, an event stay, a visiting-family stay and a study-stay. We ensure that our guests needs are met, knowing that sometimes it's not for happy reasons why they are staying, so we ensure that they are comfortable and have all the little things that make life a little easier.

Why they chose this property

We chose this unit because it ticks so many boxes. 10 minute walk to the beach, 10 minute walk to the station, a gorgeous outlook over the park, yet handy to large infrastructure like Frankston Hospital, Chisholm Institute and Monash University's Peninsula campus. It gets all the warm north sun in the front courtyard, which is relatively private from the street because it's elevated and hidden by a hedge. This part of Frankston is a popular family friendly area with the beautiful George Pentland Botanic Gardens, the Little Beauty Park Market and the foreshore parks to enjoy.

What makes this property unique

The park view, the proximity to the beach and it's an affordable alternatively to staying on the Mornington Peninsula, yet within easy reach of the best of the Peninsula.
