Family gathering-flew and drove in from CA, SD, NE, ID, OR
The house could be great, however our hostess did not prepare the house for 14 people and she was not around! We were delayed over 4 hours to get in because she didn't send a code or answer her phone. Both VRBO and myself tried to get a hold of her.
It was very hot the 5 days we were there and most of the beds had flannel sheets on them! The in room air conditioner in one of the bedrooms upstairs was not hooked up properly and the room was hot! The AC was set at 77 when we arrived and it took considerable time for the large house to cool off that evening. That was difficult as we only were able to get in after 7pm(check in was supposed to be at 3).
The kitchen does not have enough dishes for 16 people which is what the house advertises can stay there. The kitchen is bare bones as far as no linens(we had to use cleaning clothes and washcloths), no butter knives, no can opener, just one big pot(hard to make simple meals like spaghetti).
The trampoline net was broken and sharp pieces were laying on the ground. We duct taped them together so the little kids could jump.
The automatic sprinklers came on in the early afternoon while we were outside playing. Why not set them for night?
There are several floor/tile ledges that are very dangerous for small children and old people, which we had both. After several people tripping, we constantly warned each other to pick up their feet!
