We had a blast! Going up and down the stairs wasn’t too hard for my 83 year old Dad. It was worth it for the spectacular view and location! Loved being on the water and able to use the SUPs daily!
We had a wonderful stay at the this home on Whitefish Lake. View is spectacular, layout of home was good food two families plus and the owners could not be more nice and helpful!
We had a GREAT TIME! Tom and Donna we very accommodating and the house was stocked with everything we needed. We really enjoyed the porch and it was so safe for our grandkids - 10 months and 3 years! We’d definitely stay again!
This was perfect for our first visit to Montana. Two couples--We were able to enjoy Whitefish Lake and the spectacular sunsets from the deck and the dock. We were just 12 minutes north of town and all the restaurants and shopping, and 37 minutes from Glacier Ntl Park West entrance. We went numerous days! The home was lovely. Comfortable and the kitchen was thee best appointed we had ever come by in a rental home. It could easily fit 5 couples, or 10 people. The owner was very responsive and lovely. The views were spectacular! It was just lovely all the way around. We wish we could've enjoyed the hot tub but it was very unseasonably warm when we were there 9/4-9/12. This was a great place!
This was the perfect location for our (extended) family of 8 to spend NYE together with kids and their spouses and significant others. Plenty of room for 8 even in the winter when more time is inside than out. Tom and Donna were wonderful and receptive to every need. Cabin has everything anyone needs - cooking, games, you name it. For future visits to Whitefish to ski Rest Haven will be at the top of our list.
We loved our stay, the house is lovely and well stocked. I didn’t give 10 stars because I didn’t see anywhere that noted there were 38 steep steps to get down to the house. Makes dragging luggage and groceries difficult. It also would not be suitable for anyone with mobility problems. Also the dining area is very small and hard to seat 6 people at the table.

Fantastic view, sunlit spacious great room, well appointed home
My family spent Thanksgiving in this spacious, sunlit home with a fantastic view of Whitefish Lake. The great room wall of windows was a cozy place to read and relax. The kitchen was well stocked with every appliance and utensil we could have desired. The property is convenient to Whitefish, hiking, and a 30 second walk to the lake. The recreation room with Foosball table, wet bar, big screen TV, and lots of board games was a great place to laugh and relax after dining at the Lodge at Whitefish. Rain, snow or shine this was a memorable holiday retreat.
A group of 8 of us, including 2 young children, stayed for 6 glorious days in July. We took full advantage of the very well stocked home which included a hot tub, kayaks, paddle boards, fishing poles, as well as everything you need in the kitchen, including lots of spices and other everyday items that one often ends up purchasing while staying at a VRBO. We enjoyed the long summer days, cold plunges in the lake, grilling and nearly daily excursions to Glacier National. Donna and Tom were wonderful hosts...highly responsive, kind and welcoming. They even left jam, wine and a few other items in a welcome basket. The place is immaculate and feels like a home...not a VRBO. I've never had such a warm and well appointed stay. Every detail was attended to from hummingbird feeders and annual flowers, to calamine lotion and aluminum foil! Can't wait to return. Thanks Donna!
This home simply put is a slice of heaven. The view, the peaceful sound of the waves lapping on the shoreline, the thoughtfulness of the homeowner in welcoming the guests…it was a JOY to stay. The town and the welcoming residents were the icing on top. Montana you are a class act!
Communication with the owner was spot on. The check in process was simple. The home is located 1 house from the end of a dead end street. Extremely quiet and peaceful stay. The home is right on the lake and provides beautiful views from the kitchen/living room - and from the hot tub! Would highly recommend for those looking for a peaceful lakeside stay.
The accommodations were fabulous. We went to ski and my daughter became engaged. This was a wonderful place for the family to celebrate. Beautiful views, great communication with host, and well equipped. We would love to return for a summer vacation!!!!!
Words could never do justice to the beauty of this place. The house had such a cozy, warm, and inviting feel. The giant windows perfectly framed the almost frozen lake. Watching the lights of the train go by through the trees on the other side of the lake made us feel like we were living in the polar express. Sitting outside as snow came down on us as we got warm in the hot tub was pure magic. This was one of my favorite trips I’ve ever taken, can’t wait to be back soon.
The lake was absolutely gorgeous and clear. The water is always a little chilly in the mountains but that didnt stop us from swimming. Glacier National Park is a short drive away and is my favorite place in the whole world. My only negative is the steps down to the house but nothing can be done about it. The house is built on a cliff.
The property is exactly like the pictures! Smooth check-in process, great communication from property managers, and easy check-out. We would rent this cabin again!
Amazing house inside and out. Huge decks with hot tub. Used their kayaks everyday on the lake. Plenty of room to stretch out. Everything you needed they had! Even saw a mama bear with her 3 Cubs outside. That was a highlight❤️ The host were the sweetest people and so accommodating. We booked for next summer, because there is so much more to see and do. Awesome place😊
We stayed here for a ski vacation at the end of Feb. The skiing was fantastic and the house is ideally located in-between town and mountain. Our group of six had plenty of room to spread out with everyone getting a comfortable bed. Kitchen is great with every possible amenity for home cooked meals. Hot tub was super hot (and clean), wood fireplace was a nice touch after a ski day, and the views of the lake are amazing... Tom/Donna were great. We would definitely come again!
This house is just so relaxing! We loved our stay here. Beautiful views surround you inside and outside. Which makes it hard to leave. But we did manage to get out and go skiing, visited Glacier and explored the town.
