About the host
Hosted by Amanda Jane
Amanda Jane came up with the idea to reconstruct an old barn and make it into a beautiful home and event center in a small town in Texas. Three years later, we finally achieved our part of our dream. Amanda's amazing sense of design allowed us to create a showcase.
We invite you to be part of our dream to host families and friends, retreats and workshops, inspire creative thought, relax under the Old Oak, join Loves for Life, spark new relationships, and build your own dreams.
Why they chose this property
Round Top, TX, is famous for its International Antique Shows that happen 3 times a year. Hundreds of Vendors, Tens of Thousands of Visitors, and Pop-Up Food and Music Pavillions expand the town's population from 87 to 90,000 during the show.
What many people do not realize is that Round Top's core Arts and Antique businesses, Music, Theater, Dining and Event Centers are a buzz year round.
We built in Round Top so our guests see the antique show, go to a concert, see a play or just sit back and enjoy small town activities. Our daughter recently participated in Camp Shakespeare which is hosted by UT Austin. We have attended concerts with nationally known artists in many of the near by town. We have met and continue to experience the true authentic people of the area. Many we now call friend and family.
We hope you bring your family and fill your heart with the amazing county warmth we are proud to be part of.
What makes this property unique
We found the ideal spot for our home on over 18 acres of meadows and trees. We were convinced the moment we saw the cows under the majestic Live Oak tree that proudly boasts a 70+ foot canopy. Amanda Jane said, "Ferdinand the Bull!" At that moment, it became home to our dream.
We found a Bank Barn in Indiana from the 1870s. The amazing oak beams, queen and king posts had to be the foundation for our dream. Our Historic Home highlights the engineering and creativity of these early settlers. Please, Come see how Amanda Jane leveraged these architectural marvels and incorporated modern convenience and design.
Our home allows for Retreats, Weddings, Meetings, Parties, or a full stay. We love creatives and are working on hosting Author, Song Writer, Wellness, and other retreats. We have been asked about hosting the local Prom and Corporate Meetings. We recently hosted the Round Top Historical Homes Tour and had the opportunity to talk about the Barn's history and how we highlight the core of our facility.
