We had a wonderful stay at this charming home! The house was stocked with everything we needed and filled with unique decor and character that made it feel truly special. The host was incredibly kind, friendly, and responsive throughout our visit. The beautiful flowers and peaceful ambiance made for such a relaxing getaway. Our kids especially loved the playhouse and had so much fun picking and eating fresh strawberries right from the garden—such a treat! We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy and memorable stay, and we hope to be back again soon!
Beautiful cabin and property, so much thought and attention to detail went into every aspect of the experience. The historical touches and information was a great bonus. We had a great time and will plan to book again!
My family and I stayed here this past weekend. The cabin is so beautiful and we loved all the historic charm. The movie room downstairs was an added bonus for our son. We will definitely be back!
This house was adorable!! The patio and backyard had so much room for my daughter to play and all of the flowers and pumpkins were so so cute! the vibe was absolutely amazing. We had such a great weekend!
Awesome place to unwind after adventure filled day on Buckeye Lake. High end everything and very considerate with the amenities they provided. Beautiful covered outdoor spaces that we were able to enjoy during a rain storm. The gardens were amazing and the movie theater capped off our evening.
I am a local resident and recently rented this well cared for property for some of my family members. Very clean, beautifully decorated interior with lots of attention to detail. So many special amenities, it is quite a retreat! The owner was very accommodating and quick to respond to any needs we had. Backyard was flourishing with beautiful landscaping. I highly recommend!
It started the second we opened the door. It smelled so strong of maple syrup that we gaged. We found an air freshener can and to oil diffusers that were maple syrup. We had to put them outside. Seemed like something was trying to be covered up?! Then It was safety issues…. The deck is a major risk, the door to downstairs open straight to steep stairs no land or anything and downstairs there is a brick deck were a fireplace use to be. All of which are major trip/fall hazards!! My grandson took a face plant on the deck and may loose his front teeth!!! Where in the middle of the long deck there is one step down and not marked in anyway for safety. I would say cleanliness was at about a 95% with lots of hair and dust bunny’s in the corners/under furniture.
Doug met us personally at check in and explained some of the history of the home which was quite interesting. The home is expertly decorated in a period appropriate but comfortable way with lots of high end touches. The beds were very comfortable and the towels were incredibly soft. The kitchen is well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved the outdoor spaces as well. The tree swing was our daughter’s favorite! This ranks in our top rental experiences. Stay here, you will not regret it!
Everything was perfect. The Settle was beautiful! Well stocked, very clean, beautiful setting, and the details were charming. I hope we get to come back.
The home and grounds are beautiful - the property description is understated. We had a lovely time and are hoping to return in the fall. Doug responded to all of our inquiries. A great stay!
Everything about this place was perfect. It was absolutely spotless, beautiful, and relaxing. Our plan was to go to Hccking Hills, but our daughter was not feeling well, so we stayed at the home more than planned. We were not disappointed by this at all. Our youngest daughter loved the swing in the back as well as the movie room. A lovely little break with great hosts!
