My wife and I wanted a getaway weekend away from our city life and this place exceeded our expectations. We never turned on the TV and enjoyed ourselves and enjoyed the river outside our door. We are coming back again and again and again. Thank you Adam for sharing your amazing cabin and property.
Fantastic location, with the river right outside the door! Very relaxing and cozy, a good place to unplug! I did have to learn how to properly use a fireplace without smoking the place out! Very close to hiking and skiing if that's your thing.
We needed a quiet place for the weekend. This one was great. Right on the river. Open the windows or door and you hear the sound of the river flowing by. Will be back for another visit.
The cabin is beautiful, peaceful. Just what we needed. The owners are very nice and communicative. We were there coldest weekend of the year, and cabin still warm and cozy! Thank you for the stay!
It was beautiful and a perfect peaceful place to stay. It was relatively clean. Under and on top of tv table was very dusty. We had to wipe out the fridge when we got there. Hence a 4. Everything else was clean. The nightly price was not bad but there should have been firewood at least for one night in our opinion 100 to fish in a stream that clearly had not been stocked recently was way overpriced. The view, location and waterfall were fabulous.
Whenever we needed to contact the host there was a very fast response time and they also came out quickly when we needed assistance. everyone was very respectful.
The cabin is cozy, and makes you feel right at home from the second you walk in. With the Lehigh river below you there’s no doubt you’ll be able to relax. Even in the low 20’s the cabin was toasty warm. The history surrounding the cabin and town made for an even better experience. I would highly recommend this cabin for a perfect weekend getaway
Wow! this was such a nice getaway for my wife and I! So quiet and relaxing, fireplace was mesmerizing , wildlife, great communication with any thing we needed! Can't wait to come here again! Cabin was the perfect size for us, bathroom is nice and clean, bedroom is very nice! couldn't have been better !
Very Cozy Cabin. We were so content and relaxed! That was our plan. It was very cold and snowed at least 6 inches last full day. Loved it. Quiet and tranquil.
Simple, basic cabin in a beautiful setting right overlooking the Lehigh River. Check-in was easy, hosts were responsive and we had all we needed

Why they chose this property
With a long family history right here in the Stoddartsville / Blakeslee area, dating back to the early 1800's, I feel very privileged for the opportunity to share this beautiful spot with those who appreciate all that nature has to offer. In all my travels, I haven't found a place more peaceful and relaxing than right here in Stoddartsville. What makes this property unique
The views of the Lehigh River from the cabin are spectacular year-round. The privacy offered by this unique setting creates a true escape from the stresses of daily life. Originally built in 1911 and used as a prop in a silent movie in 1917, this cabin has been completely renovated and upgraded with all the modern amenities while maintaining the charm you would expect of a cabin in the mountains.
You have to experience it for yourself to truly appreciate all that the Lehigh Cabin has to offer!
