Just a mile from Esperanza on the Caribbean side of the island. With eco-friendly simplicity and outdoorsy living island style, our clean & bright casita (Spanish for 'small house') has its own view of the sea and nearby mountain. The shared pool area is the perfect spot to relax adjacent to a shaded deck when you're ready for a siesta in the hammock.

Enjoy enchanting, unobstructed views of the Caribbean Sea, eco-friendly simplicity, and island-style outdoor lounging. Perfectly located just a quiet mile from Esperanza, Oreanda offers all the best of Vieques: lounging by the pool, sensational sunsets, incredible hikes to Black Sand Beach, outdoor kitchen with grill, tennis and horseback riding nearby. Hop on a bike to Sun Bay or the Malecon, take a morning jog to Playa Grande or grab a good book and unwind. It’s all here: the perfect blend of hospitality, independence and nature therapy.

Casita Verde features a studio layout with queen-size bed, fans for keeping cool, one full private bath, relaxing living area and kitchenette as well as outdoor dining space and grill. Our 2.5 acre property boasts breathtaking views, tropical trees - frangipani, flamboyan - and colorful bushes - hibiscus, bougainvillea, ixora. This location can't be beat with excellent hiking, tennis courts nearby, only ten minutes to great restaurants and the Bio Bay tour. When you need to get away from it all, this is the place to come.

Amenities include shampoo and conditioner, bath and beach towels, beach chairs and a portable cooler.

Daily housekeeping and room service are not provided. Courteous attention to the renters’ needs or requests will be provided.

We are officially running on solar power! Our system is installed with Tesla batteries and the set up is working great.

Paradise

The property was amazing, and the close prximity to reach many of the awesome locations around the island was a real bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 days there. The pool was ideal for quick dips in between beach trips. The surrounding gardens were beautiful. Everything about the property was amazing.

Quiet island house surrounded in beauty

The property is beautiful -- well-manicured tropical plants and amazing view from the pool; we even had one of Vieques' wild horses right outside our door and the Coqui song at night. It's also quietly tucked away from the more active parts of the island but still just a short drive. We stayed in the studio that sleeps up to 2 and rented one of their cars so we could explore as many beaches as we could. Tyler picked us up from the ferry and made sure we were in the "know" on the best beaches and spots in town. Really my review is more like 4.5 out of 5, and the only down marks were a steady stream of termites at night and minor things that the posting said would be available that weren't -- DVD player, internet, hammock (there was a TV and the DVD library mentioned, just no channels available and no DVD player). Not a big deal to us because we just wanted a quiet place to sleep at night and to take a shower but it may matter to others looking. Overall, our experience was great!
