Pyramid 1-D is a beachfront condominium. This one-bedroom, one and a half-bathroom condo has a furnished, enclosed balcony overlooking the gorgeous Atlantic Ocean. This unit is the perfect place for you and your family to call home for a few days!
The spacious living room is furnished with a couch, two matching recliners, and a television. The couch doubles as a queen-size sleep sofa. The sliding balcony doors allow plenty of natural light to brighten the space. Right off the living room is a dining area, perfect for meals with the family. Next to the dining area is the fully-stocked kitchen. The bedroom has two double beds, a television, and a private bathroom. The half-bathroom is located in the hallway. This property comfortably sleeps up to six people, so bring the whole family!

Unit 1-D has the following amenities: central air conditioning, outdoor pool, one parking space (provided at the building with the registration fee), three elevators, two TVs, one DVD player, free WiFi, cable TV, heat, stack washer and dryer, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, stove, disposal, dishwasher, and an outdoor foot shower.

We’ve stayed at this property for the last 3 summers. Always a great experience. Unit is clean and well-appointed, great location, and beautiful beach. We will be back next year!

Great find

Very clean and nicely decorated. Didn’t feel crapped like some condos. Dream view and loved the screened in porch. Kitchen very small but we weren’t cooking so perfect for us. Some of the hotel staff could have been friendlier but overall great stay. Definitely will go back

Too strict

The pool rules were too strict and the family staying above us kept opening and closing the sliding door in the middle of the night and it sounded like elephants above my head. The location was nice with an easy walk to the beach, but it was unfair that I had to pay for parking at the place I rented. I also found the check in counter hard to find when getting there. The condo also needed a better sofa bed as it was falling apart. One of the chairs in the living room was also falling apart. All in all I probably won't be staying there again.

An absolutely wonderful time!

Our family had a blast. Steps from the beach meant we collected shells and enjoyed the area the entire time. You expected that. What I didn't expect was the outstanding location! There's a grocery store in the mall across the street, which allows guests to Pick up those few things that you forgot to pack!! It also came in handy for picking up breakfast food as well. The unit was very much to our liking! Additionally, dealing with The rental company was outstanding!

Last minute but ok

We actually had to change from Myrtle Beach to Ocean City because of a hurricane so it was very last minute and I should of read into it more. The location is awesome. Steps to the beach. We ended up on the first floor which was not my favorite. I always book 12th or above. It was pretty noisy with foot traffic outside when we had the balcony open. The condo was ok but I didn't read where you had to bring your own linens so that was a pain. You can rent linens but it was so pricey. The pool area was very nice. Parking was good. The hotel layout is odd but we got used to it. Cleanliness needs to be better. Behind stands, corners, on top of things all need addressed. There was actually food behind the nightstand. But, no bugs so we were fine. The condo was great besides that. One thing I didn't like was the way you checked in at the hotel. The people were not very friendly in the registration office (not the rental office but at hotel). There was like a family sitting around, eating and watching soap operas. They charged us another $30.00 and I have no idea what for. They acted mad for us being there and demanded cash only which was another odd thing. I asked what it was for and she snapped "registration!" Well I thought I done that at the rental agency! They give us a parking pass and shooed us out. That needs addressed. I probably wouldn't stay again just because of no linens, needed a good cleaning and how rude they were.

My stay at the Pyramid

Had a hard time locking and unlocking the front door. The bathtub was very slippery when wet. Overall, it was very nice and we were satisfied.

Clean and comfortable beach front condo

We were overall satisfied with our stay. The condo was clean and very comfortable. The location, access to the beach and pool were great! Our only Issue was wifi access. We had a lot of trouble accessing the internet and then when we did connect we were kicked back out soon after. We ended up using a lot of data. I guess we might not have noticed but it rained a lot on our vacation so we were inside more than we would have liked.

Bad communication on what the package contained

We had a small group of friends get together for the weekend at the Pyramid near the 4th of July weekend. Most places are very busy during this time but Ocean City was no where near being completely filled this year. We registered for a weekend on HomeAway because the user interface is very easy to work with and the price was fair. The price for 3 nights was fair with check out being at 10:00. We had to go to a rental company (ShoreLine) to grab the keys for the apartment. We had been told that parking would be provided for 1 vehicle which was great for us considering that we were carpooling to save on space and cost. When we arrived, we were told that parking would be an additional cost (to be fair, the parking lot across the street in front of the grocery store is free). I wish that had been communicated ahead of time to ensure that we were informed. When we got to the hotel we parked across the street and used one of their carts to transport our luggage. The apartment seemed to be very dirty for being "cleaned" prior to arrival. There were broken chips in the carpet on the floor along with a round from a childs nerf gun on the floor in the living room. The apartment did not come with any towels or bedding (this was communicated ahead of time). The part that everyone forgot to mention was that the apartment did not come with toilet paper or other cleaning supplies for the end of the week. You as the renter are responsible for cleaning the apartment upon checking out. There were also several drains that were broken that we had to use tools to force open to drain water from the shower and sinks. At this point, I called the rental company and tried to explain my concerns but was reassured that anything minor could be marked on the list that they provided for damaged things within the unit. We tried our best to enjoy our time at Ocean City for the weekend and were glad to find that there were kitchen utensils as well as pots/pans to cook. There is a dishwasher but we had to go buy our own detergent. I spoke with the manager during the checkout process and he attempted to explain that we should have informed them of the issues up front but the lady I spoke to on the phone said they will take care of everything, just mark it on the sheet. He said he would speak with his manager about the situation but did not do a good job of de-escalating the situation. I would not recommend this hotel to someone unless there are not other locations.

We are very sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. We would, however, like to clarify a few matters. It is standard Ocean City practice for rental properties to not come with linens. This is not something we do, but something the local industry does. Additionally, the manager was correct: you can call us at any time to report things that need to be fixed or redone. It is correct that anything minor can simply be marked on the comment card we provide you, but plumbing and cleaning issues are things we can and do send people to address. It is possible the rental coordinator you spoke to misunderstood you when you called or specifics were not reported. We have cleaners always on staff and our maintenance works until 10:00 p.m. in case of any issues. We also have an answering service that can address any concerns after hours as well. Thirdly, the tenant is not required to clean. We ask that you take out your trash and wash and put away any dishes you used. You are not expected to clean the property. Shoreline makes sure our tenants remain informed of everything the unit does or does not have or if the building has a registration fee. It is on every email we send you, as well as your contract. We inform every guest that the owners do not provide paper products or cleaning supplies. An informed customer is the best customer, and so we send all necessary information more than once. We regret that we could not be of more service to you and sincerely apologize for the miscommunication.
