2-story Dome, pool, 400 mts to beach, near Curu, Isla Tortuga & Bioluminescence

Stunning 113m2 + 20m2 second level, total 133m2 (1431 sqft) Dome, sleeps 6, little fridge and kitchenette, big bathroom, access to pool, in the middle of amazing wildlife like howler monkeys, with face monkeys, parrots, macaws, coati, lots of birds, flat walking distance to 400 meters/yards to the beach close to famous Isla Tortuga & Bioluminescence tour.

When you rent our place, you can use the Esfera common area for free, with a BBQ, a sink with water, a large glass table that seats 12, and a sofa area to chill.

There are two additional 50m2 (538 sqft) domes and a special Dome directly on the cliff at the Beach available if you are looking to stay with a larger group (maximum 18 people in total).

Dome description
A large hemispherical roof or ceiling. A natural formation or structure that resembles the dome or cupola of a building. There are no separate bedrooms; this is one open space like a loft. The bathroom is inside the cube you see in the pictures. The second level, on top of the cube, has a King-size bed. This area is more private because the people staying on the first level do not see the bed, as it is on a "higher level".

Italian delicatessen store, Gym with AC (extra fee of USD 10 per person) just 100 meters/yards, private Horseback Riding Tours, Curu park is just 10 minutes away, Kayak Bioluminescence, Sportfishing, Waterfalls, Diving, Snorkelling, Surf lessons, and much more, just 2 to 10 minutes away. Super safe area in Costa Rica with almost private beaches, 10 different beaches can be reached in 1 to 20 minutes by car. You will love this area!

2 x 9-hole golf course, just 25 25-minute car drive. Cobano National Airport is just 35 35-minute car drive. Montezuma 50 minutes, Santa Teresa and Mal Pais 60 minutes.

You can take many amazing tours in the area, and the host will provide a PDF with all options and can even book them for you if required. Isla Tortuga Tour, Waterfall tour, Curu National Park, Bird watching, Kayak, SUP, Surf, spectacular night Kayak Bioluminescence tour, horse riding, and more.

Geodome switch

We were not able to get in the Goedome because heavy rain had affected the interior a little. Instead, Carlos upgraded us to one of his beautiful 2 bed 3 bath homes. It was perfect and had a pool. We would definitely stay there anytime. Also everyone was so friendly

Property description is not accurate

We paid for 3 nights and only stayed one. It lists 4 bedrooms - they count beds and fold out sofas are also counted as rooms. It is a completely shared space. The air conditioning that is in the space is not adequate to cool the space for comfortable sleeping and the kitchen is a kitchenette at best. The BBQ that was advertised did not work. I felt REALLY ripped off as I was leaving as I had to book another place to stay at an additional cost. The property manager was very available and as responsive as he could be in the situations.

More than we expected!

Our family of 4 (kids 9 & 11) found ourselves privileged to be the first to stay here. The large dome was clean & well-appointed. It provides a peaceful & cozy vibe. The large shower was perfect for a luxurious rinse off after the beach, the lounger sofas were cozy for curling up with a book or listening to tunes using the Bluetooth built-in speaker, & the bed was comfortable too. The kitchenette was well stocked. We could hear & see howler monkeys off the deck. Travel from SJO was simple, the Paquera ferry drop-off is 10 minutes from the dome & accessible without 4x4. The highlight of the location was the close proximity to Playa Organos, a quiet beach oasis with a beach-side restaurant whose menu satisfied our kids. Excursions included a trip to Isla Tortuga, night kayaking in bioluminescent waters & enjoying the abundance of wildlife at the Curu Wildlife Reserve; all within 30-minutes. Additional value that cannot be understated came from that of our host, Carlos. From the time of booking and throughout our stay, Carlos, who lives nearby, was exceptionally accessible & attentive. Issues that arose, such as the need for a clothes line, handled within hours regardless of their urgency. We were delighted to have been able to tap into Carlos’ vast network of local connections & knowledge that he’s cultivated in his 14 years here. We would definitely return & we share Carlos’ excitement as his vision of dome units surrounding a communal outdoor living/cooking space takes shape.
