About this property

Old Wash House - Rm. 104

Step back in time while enjoying the comforts of today in Lodge Room 104, “Old Wash House.” At Lydia Mountain Lodge — the hub of all things Lydia — each room carries a unique nostalgic theme designed to reflect personality, history, and mountain heritage.
This inviting room features a queen-size bed, a full bathroom with tub and shower, and a private balcony overlooking breathtaking over-the-mountain sunrise views. Begin your morning with fresh coffee and peaceful Blue Ridge scenery right outside your door.
For your convenience, the room includes a microwave, mini refrigerator, and single-cup coffee maker, making it easy to relax and settle in.
The original Old Wash House, located just a mile from the lodge, is wrapped in local folklore and Appalachian tall tales. This room pays tribute to that history, blending rustic character with modern comfort — the kind of setting you might imagine in stories passed down through generations.
After a day of exploring, cozy up beside the lodge's wood-burning fireplace in the beautiful mezzanine, or stroll downstairs to Bearrr Appetit Restaurant for delicious dining paired with spectacular mountain views.
The “Old Wash House” is where mountain legend meets relaxation — a place to reminisce about days gone by while enjoying the bliss of present-day comfort.

Cuteness

We booked three rooms, really enjoyed having the balcony accessible to all three of us where we could share the full view together without being blocked off from each other while still having enough privacy for each room

We don't like much decor, it felt cluttered but appropriately named.

The float kept sticking when flushing the toilet. Outside on the porch, ants are eating away at one or more logs. Two needed maintenance issues. We were looking for a relaxed and enjoyable weekend. We found that, thank you.
