Perfect Peaceful Stay

My husband and I stayed here after hiking in Shenandoah for the day. Beautiful property back in the woods/country. Our room had a beautiful view especially in the morning with the sunrise. Loved sitting outside in the morning. Would definitely stay here again- maybe at one of the cabins with our kids.

Great People- Less Than Great Accommodations

I’ve stayed here twice now this year. The first time was great- no issues. This time a large chunk of paint/ drywall paper was falling off the ceiling in the bathroom, there was no hand soap or conditioner, the bed sheets were full of hair. I asked about hand soap and someone helped me locate some. At 9:00 pm when I discovered the hair, I texted and was directed to a closet down the hall to find clean sheets, but couldn’t so I was relocated to another room at 10:00 pm. The second room had stained carpet and crumbling grout in the bathroom floor. The customer service is decent, the lodge has beautiful views, but the cleanliness and condition leave something to be desired.

Amazing!

The drive up to the lodge was beautiful. We passed the chickens and goats on the way. The grounds are vast, creating a quiet, enchanting atmosphere. We were reserved for a 2nd floor room but requested a change to 1st floor after we arrived. The office was closed but there was an after hours number we could call. They switched our room without any problem and the staff (Tina, I think?) was so pleasant and accommodating. Our room was SPOTLESS and so well decorated, we felt like we hit the jackpot. Check in and check out was electronic, so very easy, not time consuming at all. We loved our stay so much, we're worried no other place on our trip will quite measure up. We started with the best!!

Back door was not locked on arrival. Safety concern with back porch open for others to walk through. Noise at night, late, very loud. Road conditions - Need 2 lanes. Safety concern. Do not share publicly. Ty!
