The house is wonderful, very spacious and modern/new in terms of amenities (not architectural style) due to newer construction relative to many other rentals. The river access and outdoor spaces are great. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay

The house was perfect for our family of 10 get together. Very nice house with everything we needed. The teens loved the bunk room and we all enjoyed the fire pit for s’mores. Great backyard and location on the river. Would definitely rent again!!

Wife's Birthday

We booked the house for a weekend getaway for my wife's birthday. Invited friends and family to enjoy the rental with us. It was everything we had hoped for and more. The location was great. The house was great. The scenery was great. We absolutely loved sitting on the porch watching the river and hanging out. We will definitely be going back.

Wonderful

Our family of 16 spent Thanksgiving at this beautiful home. We had an amazing time and spent an afternoon in Wimberley and another in Gruene which were 15-25 minutes away! The kiddos loved the two sets of bunk beds which are actually full size beds. This will be a great location in the summer as well with the easy river access! We will be back!

Holiday Trip

Really enjoyed our trip. The house was perfect for the fam and our dogs. A few things is the gas grill didnt work or was out of gas. It would be better if this was on the property management to have ready and available to use. To much hassle for the guest to do so. But we made it work and grilled on the firepit ! Fireplace would have be great if it was on to use as well.. Overall great place !

My wife and I have vacationed with another couple twice a year for over 10 years so we have stayed in many rental properties. This property is well built with a very nice finish out and has great potential. I am confused however why there is no window covering in the living room. It made us feel exposed at night and during the day we had to deal with the sun blaring in our eyes. We were given a small amount of toilet paper and paper towels, forcing us to buy more at the store. The most concerning is that we were only given 2 dishwashing soap pods. Only 2. One of those was used upon our departure leaving only 1 for our entire 6 day stay. That made us wonder how many times people just ran the dishwasher with no soap (we did find some dirty dishes put away). There were also no basic items like salt and pepper so we had to buy some at the store. If the bottom dollar is that important, just raise the daily rental by 5 and provide salt, pepper, non stick pan spray, more toilet paper, more paper towels and more dishwashing soap. Providing the little things can go a long way. Unfortunately the worst part of our stay were the beds. The bed you sleep on can make your stay great or horrible. We honestly couldn’t remember when we had slept on mattresses that bad. Unfortunately none of us slept good our entire stay because of the mattresses. As mentioned at the top, this house has great potential, however the beds are horrible and they need to provide more basic items.

We would like to clarify that our welcome letter, and pre-arrival messages all state that we provide a starter pack of amenities only and that perishables are not supplied. This is not about the price point, but rather guest safety. Items such as salt, pepper, and other opened perishables can unfortunately be tampered with, and for that reason we do not leave them in the home. We make every effort to communicate this clearly prior to arrival so guests know what to expect and can plan accordingly. Regarding the mattresses, we understand bedding comfort is very subjective, as some guests prefer firmer mattresses while others prefer softer ones. We have not previously received complaints regarding the beds, and the owner stays at the property frequently as well. That said, we do appreciate your perspective and will certainly keep your comments in mind as we continue improving the guest experience. Thank you again for your feedback and for staying with us.

Incredible House and Location!!!!!!

My family and I have vacationed in New Braunfels every summer for 20+ years and this place was the most spacious, luxurious, and best location for a river vacation ever. I cannot say enough about how nice this home is and the river views are stunning. The owner did a great job adding the steps down to the river. Very easy access to get in and out of the water. Waking up early and having coffee on the upper porch was a great way to start the day before gathering everyone for a float on the Horseshoe, which is maybe be a mile away from the house! Greune Hall is very close too if you want to go have a night out and listen to some great live music and go dancing. The host supplies very helpful information for local dining and shopping if you are not familiar with the area. The rooms are all so spacious and very comfortable beds. The bunks say twins but they are fulls, two people can sleep on those bunks. I could go on and on but will just finish with WOW!!!! What an amazing place and wonderful time. We will definitely be returning!!!! Thank you Barbers 😁
