Family getaway

We had a great time bonding as a family here. The sunsets were stunning, and the place was very cozy! My youngest loved catching tadpoles, and we appreciated the card games available to play. We wished there were more chairs around the campfire to fit out while family

Could not have picked a better place to spend the week at. It was late season we pretty much had the lake to our selves. Wendy was the caretaker and was a pleasure to meet! Everything was clean and well organized. Only complaint was the fishing was tough but it appeared everyone else was having trouble finding fish too! Would definitely come back again.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed your stay and had the lake mostly to yourselves—that sounds amazing. Wendy will be delighted to know she made a positive impression; we’re lucky to have her on our team. We appreciate your feedback about the fishing. Late season can definitely make things a little tricky, but we’re glad it didn’t take away from the overall experience. We’d love to welcome you back anytime for another relaxing getaway!

This property was great. We’ve stayed at many rustic places and it was very clean and a great location! It’s a unique cabin but the welcome book came with history about the cabin which was neat. The lake is gorgeous and quiet. We cruised the lake on a rented pontoon (B&B delivered to our dock), fished, and swam. Fire pit was nice. Booked a pedal & paddle experience nearby in Manitowish through Rivers Edge and it was memorable. Saw an eagle both on the kayak paddle as well as on Echo Lake boating. Biking part was fun too. Locals are nice and the town of Mercer is the perfect place to getaway from busy life. My teenagers and middle schooler all had fun! We would come back again!

Beautiful Front Room ( dining area and living room) with great view of the Lake. Ceiling fans in that room and extra fans in other rooms helped make it comfortable during a very hot few days for us. Easy access to lake with a nice dock and sandy area in the shallow water, Lots of weeds as you get out in the water, so not a great place to swim unless you get far out beyond the weeds. We paddled out on our "Floaties" over the weeds into deeper water for a refreshing time. Park across the main road has a swimming beach and pickle ball courts. pickle ball equipment provided in the cabin was a nice touch. Overall very nice cabin and comfortable. Pictures do not show how close the neighbors are.The property was a little narrow to provide a sense of privacy when outside. As we would come out the doors on the side deck it felt like we were Kind of invading on the neighbors as the sat on their deck.
